Bought this for a partner for when they travel. Makes it seamless to connect all devices instantly to a new network. They absolutely love it.Game changer for travelling workers or anyone who is a frequent traveler.

Good Product for travel and standby or resilence at home use when your broadband provider line is out of down/support. I bought 4G sim card USB dongle and 64G fast sd card for the purpose and setup VPN and wireguard. all swap and boot are from my newly sd card. The performance has been improved (double or triple) and immediately boot up. It is better than using your own iphone for the same purpose. More safe and performance gain.However, the latest version of this router does not support file sharing anymore. It is little disappointed. Should have more features.This traveling router is value for money. It is good to have one for standby purpose at home too.

Just purchased this router a few days ago. The setup of this router was straightforward. My main interest is using this device as a VPN client on public networks. As an experienced user of dd-wrt firmware on Asus and Linksys routers, I've found some useful things missing or not working properly. I was hoping to configure the router to allow ssh access to the device, perhaps this is something that needs to be installed and/or requiring a firmware update. One of the menus allows the setting of the timezone in which the router will be used. After this setting, the date/time reports the correct timezone but the date and time is not correct, even after doing a page refresh. I was hoping that on the same config page for setting timezone, they would allow the user to enable NTP and provide an NTP server address for time sync.When I do a scan for Wi-Fi networks to connect to, I have yet to see my 5Ghz network SSID show up. Other devices on my network can see, and are connected to my 5G wireless.Installing Luci under the advance menu page doesn't work, I get prompted to update the plugin software under the application menu. This action is performed and takes approximately 20 seconds to perform, there is no feedback as to whether the update was successful. Returned back to installing Luci and get another error message. Additional attempts repeats the same behavior/error messages reported.I've reached out to their tech support, and they have been responsive, and getting resolution is currently work in progress. Hopefully this will get resolved soon. I'll update as I continue to work with tech support and hopefully have better news to share.UPDATE: 05/25/21 - Installation of Luci was successful after making a change to a router setting that was prohibiting Internet connection to the download site for Luci. If you are a power user of routers, you need to install Luci to get access to more advanced router settings.No connection to 5G network was discovered to be an RF channel issue. The router I was trying to connect the travel router to was using Channel 52. This is how the "auto" setting in dd-wrt works. I manually selected a channel, channel 36, and it worked! I was told that channels 36 - 48 and 149-165 will work. This is the first time I had this problem with my 5G network. My only hope is that public Wi-Fi hotspots will be using ones of these channels as I won't have the luxury that I did at home by changing the channel (frequency).I'll update to 4 stars and continue to monitor the performance of this router.
