Crunch Ground Pounder GP-1500.2 1500 Watt 2 Channel Amplifier

Purchased it on behalf of my friend. We recently installed it and he is loving how it is powering his subs in his truck. He is pleased with it and is not complaining.

I bought a 3500 watt class d one channel crunch amplifier and it was supposed to be one of the best they have. I know RMS watch drop down to around 800 on an amp that big maybe even 600 that's fine. I am so upset with this amplifier... I took it to a audio shop and had the pequots and the RMS Watts tested and the peak was only ran to $642 Watts. And RMS didn't reach over 250.. It's supposed to be $3,500 w class d. With a full bridge I should be getting the whole 3,500 to one speaker. Will it hooked at one channel I should be getting 1750 Watts. I don't understand I did not get 115th of what I paid for. I don't care if the damn thing lights up I'm not looking at it when I'm driving anyway it's in the trunk. I guess it's in the trunk cuz it's jump. If I get a new one it's standing inside the car. It will not be crunch either. I did some investigation on some other peak power and RMS pools on amplifiers and stinger is killing it. Why don't you follow a little of their diagram and you might get somewhere.. by the way I did own both of the amps. I got rid of the 2000 watt class d because I wanted a bigger one and I really think the 2000 watt harder than the 3500. It is kind of crazy I wish I would have did a test on the 2000 w before I sold it. I will never buy this brand again.And I encourage anyone else not to buy from crunch.

Nothing but CRAP!! Finally got around to installing and not even a half of a mile down the road it cuts off bc it got hot!!! PURE JUNK, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!

Other than the wattage being over-rated, these are pretty solid amps. They last well, push pretty hard, and are not picky about installation.

For the price great amp

The media could not be loaded. For the rating, this amp underperforms. I have 4 8x7 pioneer speakers in the doors of my truck and this struggles to keep them running without going into protection mode. It does this at very low gain settings, even though the rating is well above my speakers’. The amp itself also gets freakishly hot. Definitely a worry. But at moderate listening volumes, it’s very clear sound and I’m ok with that, just when I’m on my way to a party/club I enjoy listening to loud music on the way LOL. I wouldn't purchases this one again but I’d give another CRUNCH amp a go before writing them off completely.
