Ensures the Dogs Will Never Be Thirsty Again.
This does what says and it does quite well. Very simple in design, it's basically your toilet tank but for dogs. Easy to mount on the wall and install. You will need some sort of garden hose to connect it to, and preferably a two way adapter in case you only have one faucet available and need another garden hose to water your plants.I have two Huskies, and with a normal water bowl, they can empty it in seconds or make it very dirty when they are trying to dig in it. With the water bowl now mounted on the wall, the water stays a lot more clean because they aren't sticking their paws in it. Also the height I have it installed at makes it easier for the dogs to drink from. The automatic watering is definitely helpful as I do not need to worry if the dogs have any drinking water when I am away at work. The drain is certainly helpful to clean out the bowl, although I would rather have a valve at the bottom of the bowl to drain from instead. In the mornings, sometimes the water is too cold to stick the hand straight in to change the water. I did not have any issues with any leaking. As the connections are very simple, I would imagine any leak to be easily solved. Either tightening the connections, or putting some teflon tape or silicone caulk to prevent any leaks. I'm sure people can find someone who is handy enough to fix any leaking problems, cracking is a different story and that may warrant a return.I would have liked to been able to choose which side the garden hose connects to. As it is, it comes connected on the right side. Depending on where I install the bowl, it might be better if the garden hose connection could be on the left side because of where the faucet is located. That way I don't have to use an extra long hose and wrap it around, luckily where I installed the connection location was fine.

Has to sit level!
This waterer works like a champ - if you’re having issues with water never turning off, it’s not sitting level! If you’ve got a water dog, attach it to something they can’t knock over. Seems like common sense info, but read some of the questions 🤣I have not had any issues with the plug - other than me cross threading it and I fixed that by uncrossing it.I did buy different screws to attach it to the pallet I have it sitting on.If you need a replacement float because you have a chewer that found a way to it, you’ll never get a hold of the seller to get one. Sifting through the questions, I found a guy that said to try GunDogSupply.com - they had them and at a reasonable price! They are good people to work with and small business owners! It doesn’t come with a hose & I purchased a short rv water hose to supply mine & that set up works great for us. Obviously the pallet doesn’t come with it either… picked mine up on the side of the road 🤷🏼♀️

Made my life a little bit easier
Made my life a little bit easier. I have 4 dogs and having fresh water available is a constant task, especially in the southern Texas heat. I read all the reviews and decided to make a couple modifications based on other's suggestions. First, I purchased the brass 1/2" Gilmour female swivel rather than use the plastic one that comes with the water dish. Second, I attached a piece of garden hose with a PVC ball on/off valve to the drain. Third, I built and mounted the water dish to a wooden base rather than to a structure.Brass 1/2" Gilmour female swivel: I didn't try the plastic swivel that comes with the dish, so can't say if there are any problems with it. I used the brass fitting mainly because I needed something that the dogs couldn't break or would try to eat. The fitting works perfect, no leaks. I did use Teflon tape on the water dish side threads since some users reported leaks at this location.Drain: Because several reviews commented on problems with the drain assembly being difficult to work with and leaking, I attached a piece of 3/4" garden hose and a 3/4" PVC ball on/off valve to the drain so I wouldn't constantly be opening the drain plug for cleaning. This was another review's idea and worked perfect.Mounting: Again, based on some reviews that the water dish was not made from thick plastic and sagged when filled, I decided to make a wooden base for the dish to set on, rather than mount to a wall/structure. This worked out perfect for me. Since the dish is mounted to a movable base, I simply tip it over to empty it for cleaning. And because the dish starts to fill with water again, I’m able to wipe out any sediment/dirt/slime and rinse at the same time. This makes it very easy for me to clean the bowl. No more need for the garden hose/on-off valve attached to the drain, but it would have worked if I needed it. The base has a small step for the little dogs and I added a 2”x4” anti-tip support at the back to keep the big dogs from tipping it over. I could probably make the supports a little shorter since the dogs don’t appear to be interested in tipping it over, at least while I’m watching. And I could attach the base to a structure if I wanted to.Ball-cock valve: This was not an issue at all for me. I made one adjustment for the water level and that was it, no need to keep adjusting.Ball-cock valve cover: The cover comes attached with plastic pin clips. I found the cover difficult to remove and had to force it off. Eventually these clips will break, depending on how often this cover is removed, but the dish also comes with 2 small screws to attach the cover which is much more convenient.Overall, I recommend this product. It's not perfect, but It’s dependable and it works for me. I looked at multiple automatic water dishes and found this one to be the best.
