The bad reviews are people that don’t read directions 🤣
I’ve read 100 on these Reviews AFTER ordering this and was very nervous! One of me and my friends wanted to take a try at making Clay Earrings! I read many reviews saying it was sticky, didn’t come with directions, and didn’t bake well. We used parchment paper when rolling the clay out and I had NO problems with it sticking bad. The directions for baking are in the description of this post! We baked one time for about 12 minutes and it did not make our earrings super hard but they were no flimsy! We could have easily put them back in the oven for a more brick hard effect but due to it being our first time we decided it was good enough cause they didn’t just bend and we’re a good amount of stif! We have a lot of colors to choose from but as you can see we made 5 pairs each and only used 3 colors and still had some of those left over and then we simply put it all in the container for next time! We had a lot of fun doing this and I think for the price and everything you get in the kit it’s worth it! We can probably make 100 pairs of earrings if not more! I’m impressed at the quality for the price. You get a bang for your buck no doubt.

Great for beginners
I think the key to using this clay is to not over knead it with your hands. If it gets too warm in your fingers it gets super sticky and just doesn’t work right. I have had zero issues with it. Only the white color so far was a little on the dry side but still useable. To make the earrings I used a piece of parchment paper under the clay and one piece between my rolling pin and the clay. Then I baked them for 12 min at 250* suuuper easy and very fun. This has been my first experience making clay earrings but I did a lot of research first.

Fun for myself and my 7-year-old daughter!
I have a 7-year-old daughter who is really into working with clay right now so I purchased this set as a surprise for her to try. For her age, it’s great (but I think it’s worth mentioning that her 4- and 5- year old siblings had a more difficult time working with this clay and shaping it into small pieces (I think they are more used to playing with play-doh and slime and so because the consistency of this is firmer and much more like true clay, it didn’t hold their attention). I would say this is for school-age kids at least 6 and up. Even for me as an adult though, I really enjoyed it! I love the variety of colors and I love that it came with a carrying case to keep everything together and organized. My first impression when I opened the clay was that it was very stiff; however, the more I worked with it and shaped it, the more it became easily able to shape and mold and move. It did not come with baking instructions so I just followed the guidance from other reviewers and baked at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes. The tools that came with this set were strong and sturdy and much better than other accessories I have seen other competing sets. In regards to storing the clay that has not yet been baked, once opened, I just keep it in an airtight ziplock sandwich bag. Overall, I’m extremely pleased! I’m including just a few photos and a video to demonstrate the consistency to help provide a closer look at what to expect – hope that helps!

Nice colors, tools could be better
UPDATE: The seller contacted me after noticing my dissatisfaction through my review. They were very helpful and quick to help find a solution, which I appreciated. I would consider buying from them again in the future; especially if I could purchase the clay on its own or in different or specific colors.Original review: I bought this set because of the variety of colors included in the set, the tools, and the price point. It does seem like there are a couple of duplicates of a couple of colors, which I am not sure if that was intentional or not. The tools are not great. Make sure to clean the roller prior to using! I made the mistake of using it with my white clay before cleaning it, and it turned my clay gray. Some of the jewlery-making accessories arrived bent. One of the wooden tools began to splinter the first time I used it. I will probably purchase a new tool set with an acrylic roller and different tools, which kind of cancels out my money saving attempt at purchasing this set with the tools included. Oh well. You get what you pay for. I'm still happy with the colors in this set. Works fine for a beginner like me just making stuff for fun.

Decent for beginners.
Great for beginners but the pictures are misleading. The size of the clay packages are fairly small, but if you’re just starting out this is all you need. There are lots of colors and all of them work just fine. However, the key is to not play with them too much or they’ll become “sticky”. I use a silicone Matt under mine and parchment paper and haven’t had an issue. I bake 275 degrees for 15 mins. Clay remains “rubbery” which is perfect for earrings because they last much longer & will not break as easy. Not a huge fan of the wood tools, but if are useable. The roller is great & a must have. The clay mixes well, I haven’t had a problem with any colors being dried out.
