Does what it says it will do. Pretty simple. You do need a direct connection (ie not through a router or switch) and you might need to tweak the sync dial on the receiver to get it to work. Provides a strong clear signal.

Works better than expected
To test, I used this DP to HDMI over ethernet adapter to connect a 1080p TV to a multiple monitor KVM about 20' apart, using an unshielded CAT5e cable that is approximately 30' in length. The main WiFi AP is also in the same room as well as the primary terrestrial antenna for a media server.I expected issues with KVM signal, but there were none. Other reviews mentioned radio interference but I experienced none. The picture was 1080@60hz in my setup with no issues. I plan to shorten the distance to the KVM connection and use a shielded CAT6 but I don't expect that to have any impact on the performance.

It worked great for months, until it didn't.
Bought this unit to drive a monitor sitting on another desk, about 25' away from the PC. Price was good, installation was a breeze and it worked perfectly right out of the box for months. And then it just stopped. Green and yellow lights on the transmitter, only a green light on the receiver. I just applied for a RMA to send it back for warranty, I will update and give a review on that process.07/23/22: Reducing Overall rating to 2 stars. RMA process. Still, to this date, I have not heard anything back from Tripp Lite for a RMA number. So, the general assumption is Tripp Lite won't back it's one year warranty by even attempting to reach out to customers who's product has failed during the printed one year warranty period and the customer has followed all of Tripp Lites instructions to attempt to get it replaced. This is something you should take into consideration if thinking about purchasing a Tripp Lite product. I know I will.

This product is a waste of my time and money
I planned to use this to connect a laptop in a conference room with a TV on the wall, using a network connection in the floor. I tried this and it didn't work. I tried several other ways of connecting, and the only way that worked was to run a single Cat5e cable from transmitter to receiver. I then called Tripp-Lite support, and they said that they expected it to work only when connected by a single cable. Any additional connection renders this product useless, yet they don't bother to mention this on their website or other literature. If I have to lay a Cat5e cable on the floor, I might as well not use any additional product and just run a HDMI cable from laptop to TV. This product is a waste of my time and money, all because Tripp-Lite didn't bother disclosing its limitations.

Must use native ports.
Works as advertised. However you must use native ports. Not DisplayPort to DVI, DVI to VGA, etc.

Don’t use where wireless radios are present.
Bought 4, 3 worked ok, but all suffered from radio interference. They would flash off and then in whenever a radio was keyed on. Too late to return.
