🔧 Connect with Confidence!
The Anderson Metals 54046-0404 Brass Tube Fitting is a robust coupling designed for seamless connections between tubes of the same diameter. Featuring a flared tube connection on one side and a female NPT connection on the other, this fitting is crafted from durable brass, ensuring corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance. With an impressive operating temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, it guarantees a secure fit that resists mechanical pullout. Please note, this fitting contains lead and is not suitable for potable water applications in the U.S.A. and its territories.

Worked perfectly... it's a 45 degree fitting so be sure you need SAE and not AN (37 degree)
I used this to make a pressure adapter to test HVAC refrigerant lines prior to evacuating and charging. A fully evacuated system will only see about 29 psi of differential pressure and that's not enough to see of the fitting will leak in operation where high pressures exist on the high side. Anyway, if you pressure test BEFORE you evacuate the system, you don't need to use nitrogen or another noble gas since you will be removing it all to purge/clear the lines. Yes, the test pressures I used are less than specified but five times that of a fully evacuated system. BTW... use Nylog on all your fittings including on the BACK of the flares. This helps prevent galling while torqueing the fittings and ensures a proper seal on the faces of the flares.
