Did the job. Wonderful part.

Worked like a charm on my Hotpoint dryer that had a worn down timer stem and stopped working with the dial. I switched to locking pliers until those eventually wore down the rest of the stem. Hopefully this new one is built to last.

New one on the left. I bought this item Amazon renewed and it looked really new. A great deal. It looks like a one-to-one match for the unit I pulled from my dryer. This is not a knock on the item as presented however I wish there was a version with a metal stem because I am of the belief that this will break just as easily but we're just talking about a one-to-one replacement and that's what this item is and I am happy with that.Follow some instructions on YouTube and this was a really quick and easy installation.

Our Hotpoint dryer was a refurbished one, so I am unsure how old the timer switch really was. The knob ended up wearing down, so we were using pliers to turn it until the black bit broke off. I ordered this replacement and it is working so far. I recommend looking up a how-to video to install the replacement, and using the knob with a metal ring around the hole in the back (the regular all-plastic ones snap easily). I will update if there are any changes. It is working brilliantly so far, and that is with drying a load a day. ***If you plan to replace the part yourself: Please UNPLUG the machine before even touching it with a screwdriver. The static alone can shock you!***Edit: Almost a year later, and still working wonderfully.

Works and fits just as described. Arrived quickly. Only gave 4 stars as I just received it and cannot comment on its durability. So far so good.

The dryer in our newly acquired condominium could not be set because of a broken timer. After buying this timer, it only took 20 minutes to put the new timer in and the dryer works perfectly.

When our dryer timer knob went out, I watched YouTube videos and was determined that I was going to fix it myself instead of paying some crazy amount of money for someone to come out and do it. This one was so much cheaper than any other I saw on other websites. It’s been installed for almost 2 weeks now and still working great. The installation was pretty easy. I struggled getting some of the wires off the original one but that was the easy part compared to the down side of it all. The only down side to doing it yourself especially when you are a a fluffy person is what happens when you get behind the dryer in a tight space. I really thought I was going to end up making my home behind the dryer. It was an act of Congress to get my tail out from back there. Doesn’t help that I have an unhealthy fear of spiders and other creepy crawly things that would love to make their home in a deep dark place like that one. I made it out alive, thankfully, with some help from my husband.
