I would say yes, as I read a number of reviews that commented on the tight fit of the PX. One reviewer commented that they were too uncomfortable because he had a larger head. I consider my head to be small especially since I shave my head and I felt nd them snug but not uncomfortably so.

Q: What happens when the battery dies forever and no longer holds a charge? Is it possible to still use it wired like you're charging the headset?

You’re faced with an incredibly expensive upgrade option. Mine dead after only 2 years plus a bit.. advised by bowers they do not repair in the states.. only offer expensive upgrade. Avoid!!

Q: Are these a tighter fit on the head than the p7 wireless model? i ask because my p7 wireless keeps slipping off my head after 2 years. comparison?

I cannot compare the p7 but those are very tight. I used for 1-2 months and no slipping issue at all. I can even say it becomes kind of uncomfortable for me after about 2 hours of using.
