Works well on my York air conditioner
A local service company did a free checkup on our 6 year old Arizona home's AC, and said that the Run Capacitor for the fan and compressor motors was beginning to go "out of tolerance". He said they could replace it for around $120, parts and labor, but I declined and did an internet search. After finding the unit's parts list PDF, I then located this part as the least expensive, suitable replacement.Shipping was reasonable, and the part arrived in just a few days. The cap took maybe 10 minutes to swap out, and the system has been running just fine since. For less than 1/10th the quoted price, I'm hoping that I avoided a system problem for at least another 6 years of life in the desert. The part maker and vendor are highly recommended, and the swap out is something anyone with a screwdriver could do.Just be sure to get the correctly rated part, to throw the power disconnect first, and take caution with the terminals since capacitors can store energy even when not connected to power.

Easy fix for AC breaker blowing.
Saved me from a huge AC repair bill, a snap to install.Has been working flawlessly since I swapped it for the bad one a couple of months back.

Not the brand or part number stated.
I was shipped a LineBacker LCD60+5X440R rather than the brand and P/N stated. The operational specs are the same but the can diameter is greater and the height shorter. It’s a Supco “brand” but not ideal when the installation clearance is unique to the OEM part.

Great product, save yourself a call to the HVAC ...
Great product, save yourself a call to the HVAC folks and just see if it happens to be a blown capacitor first. In South Texas even the most rugged AC's like to blow these once every year or two.Always practice good electrical safety when removing and installing.Kill all power and discharge the old unit safely (it is a capacitor!) before installing.

Keep one on hand at this price.
Haven't had to use this yet, but wanted to have one on hand as it fails every summer. Just part of living in Texas, where AC gets a serious workout! Doesn't matter what brand or where I have sourced them -they all fail every summer on the weekend, of course! Last few summers I have sourced by the local Graingers at 4 times the cost. Decided to have some "insurance" and be ready for next summer. Identical to all the other one's I have purchased elsewhere over the past few summers.

You get what you pay for...
Two days ago, the AC stopped working. It kept tripping the switch when turned on. I never suspected the capacitor as the possible cause since I replaced it less than 5 months ago. I had to call for a AC service. It turned out the capacitor failed. Please don't waste your time or money on this product. I've learned my lesson.

fair to rate this product
by airconditioner blewout and i always keeo a spare capasitor on the garage, i used that on to get up and running, the one i ordered is still in the box and i keep it in the garage as a spare. with all the surges in my neighborhood i blow through them and i have this one sitting waiting for the next time, its seems to be what i ordered but haven't used it yet, so at this time the only thing i can rate if the price and the quick delivery/ I am sure it it will work.
