Quality, efficacy over taste
I do not understand why everyone is rating this supplement base on the taste not on the efficacy and quality of the supplement. I was deficient in B1 and I started using this supplement for 7 Months and now my levels are at a normal range. I agree the taste is bitter I take it in the morning on an empty and at night, it helps me to sleep better. I drink a little bit of lemon water after taking it, after a while you get use to the taste. I highly recommend it. Clean ingredients and top quality supplement.

Tastes TERRIBLE
These can be swallowed whole, but I purchased this particular one because they are sublingual dissolving tablets, which are supposed to have a higher absorption rate (for those of us that have chronic gastritis) and I wanted to see if I could avoid having to have B1 shots. I can't speak as to their effectiveness because I only tried one and plan to purchase a different brand, but they taste like a horribly bitter pill, like literally dissolving a normal pill in your mouth. It took hours to get the bitter taste out of my mouth. And I'm not being a pansy, I take liquid supplements that do not taste good by any stretch, and they even upset my stomach sometimes. But if you are wanting these to take sublingually, I do not recommend it. There are capsules that are cheaper and higher mg dose if you just want a normal pill to swallow whole.

good but...
Normally when I see reviewers comment on how a nutritional/herbal supplement tastes I roll my eyes. This stuff isn't candy, nature didn't make it sweet for you, sorry, deal with it.That being said, this is horrifically bad, and the taste stays in your mouth for a while. On the plus side, it dissolves very easily in the mouth so at least the lozenge itself isn't around very long. And this is a good company that makes it, I use some of their other products with great satisfaction. There's just no getting around the fact it tastes terrible, so if you want a quick-dissolving/absorbing B1 supplement, this is what you get.I will say there is/was another option with another company that made coenzymated B1 lozenges that are pretty good, unfortunately I can no longer find them.

Not for the Weak
*Please read the whole thing*These comments are not exaggerating. I cannot tolerate pills so I have cut every medicine imaginable in half. This was by far the worst tasting med I've ever had. But I got used to it!At first I quite literally had to eat a mint after taking this tablet, but a month later I don't even notice it. It's become apart of my daily routineI used to wake up exhausted, could barely get out of bed, dizzy during the day and had to take naps or drink multiple cups of coffee. Now I'm waking up well rested and I have more energy. If I go a week without taking these vitamins, I notice! This stuff is the real deal. Life changing

Can't understand the negative reviews about the taste
I have been taking these sublingual Vitamin B1 pills for over 2 weeks. I place a pill under my tongue first thing in the morning and let my saliva melt and dissolve it and wait for it to be absorbed (to the extent possible) under my togue. Whatever remains after a few minutes, I swallow with some water. I have read the other reviews and don't understand the "bitter" (pun intended) complaints of these reviewers who retch and rail about the malignant taste. Maybe they got a bad batch. As for me, these pills are basically tasteless except for a slightly sweet taste from the Stevia. I don't have any problem with them. Whether the B1 therapy will help with my health issues is a different question. Since they are basically the only sublingual B1 pills around, and very reasonably priced, I suggest that you try them. if the sublingual taste really annoys you, then you can always swallow them as regular B1 vitamins.

I can handle most bad tastes, but NOT this
I read the reviews before ordering this B1. A lot of people in the reviews had strong complaints about the nasty bitter taste of this B1, but I didn't hesitate to order it anyway, because in most cases I receive a product and it tastes fine to me even though a lot of people hated the taste. I usually just man-up and endure supplements that taste bad. But in this case, I threw the rest of this B1 in the trash after tasting the first one. What a waste of money. I also saw someone on the reviews saying they didn't understand why people are complaining about the taste. That person must be a representative of the company, because these things are truly awful. Maybe they work great to increase your B1 levels, but considering how bad these things taste, most people would probably rather die of B1 deficiency. These are microlingual, so they have a lot of contact with your taste buds. To me they taste like some kind of harsh bitter chemical that doesn't belong in anyone's mouth. I'll have to kiss my money goodbye and look for a similar product that tastes better. I love the Superior Source microlingual D3, but I'll never try their B1 again, because right now I feel like cutting out my entire tongue and throwing it in the trash with the full bottle of B1 that I tossed. I bet even the Superior Source company CEO wouldn't put one of these things anywhere near their own tongue. I still gave it 2 stars because it's still B1 and a good brand.
