The speed loader heads are easy to install tThr line lasts longer than in a standard head. When it comes time to add a new line it takes Seconds. No measuring the line, cutting it and the winding it around the spool head.

this grass trimmer head is just great, after years of fighting with string on these heads it is so nice to be able to just garb a reload string cartridge pop the head off, load the cartridge in place, snap the head on and go. the bump feed works very well, however I feed mind by hand, so I don't wear out the bump knob which is made of plastic. I wish I had known about these years ago. I will buy this product again.

Does not fit and cannot be returned due to “hazardous materials.” Whatever that is lol. Ridiculous. Be advised.

The worst thing about using a weedeater is winding line. First used this on a cubcadet weedeater that had a terrible bump feed head and really enjoyed how this system worked for line replacement. Purchased a Honda weedeater and first thing I did was install the oregon speedload head. The build quality is top notch, which you would expect for the price on this thing. Currently using this on a 35cc engine, but if I was running a smaller engine I could see the weight of the head possibly causing issues. With that said I ran the same head on a 25cc engine with no problem. My yard would usually get 2 trims off a single fill of string inside the head. With the oregon head I'm getting about 8 trims off a single cartridge which is nice. The cartridges are pricey compared to buying bulk string so I'm not sure if this is worth the cost if you are a professional landscaper. The cartridges are very quick to replace, you also find when you have problems with the bump feed is when you are nearly out of string also. So it's nice for me because I'm getting a warning I'm low on string because I start having to wind the engine out to get more string. I recently learned about these speed load heads about 2 years ago and I will never use another head. If you own a company and are just sick of trying to deal with teaching people how to load line over and over this will save so many headaches. The line is very durable and last a lot longer then you would think you can buy the line in packs of 10 or 25 and it takes no brain power at all to switch to a new spool quick and easy and no tools are required, I’ve never had a head get jammed up or any issue at all. This could be the best purchase you ever make for lawn care crews or home use. Would recommend over and over!

UPDATE: I've been using this for a season or two now and all I can say is this just may be the best inventions since sliced bread. I mean it is absolutely, without a doubt, unequivocally the best yard tool I have every bought. I have tried many different types of weedeater line, weedeater heads, etc. and none of them can hold a candle to this thing. I don't think I've even changed out a line cartridge yet and with my old one I'd have had to stop several times just doing along my rock wall. This one it's easy to tell when the line is getting short and you just give it a bump and out comes more. And it seems to last forever. The rock wall is a line eating machine but not with this. I haven't found anything yet it won't eat right through. Grass, weeds, blackberry vines, ivy....all of it this thing just absolutely mows down. I wish I would have found this years ago and I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. It's that good. PERIOD!!!Have only used this once on my Stihl weedeater but so far all I can say is this thing absolutely and totally rocks. I made it more than once around my house and yard and didn't have to stop once to change or untangle the line. WAY, WAY, WAY, and did I mention W.A.Y. BETTER than factory or other systems???

I really like the concept of the SpeedLoad system, but this item does not work on my Toro 51958 curved shaft trimmer. I gave it 3 stars because it looks well made and would be nice to not have to be constantly winding the trimmer line. Just a heads up that the list of trimmers that the 24-250 documentation says it will work on isn't 100% accurate.
