Connect an accessory to your ipad while charing via usb C port
You need this adaptor if you want to connect something to your ipad and charge the ipad at the same time. Made from quality materials so it should last a while. It is compatible with ipad and is USB C powered, making for a compact and useful connector.

Works with ipod and SSD
I have a 7thgen ipod, and a 2TB sandisk with USB C port, and this adapter was needed to add storage capacity. Connecting this adapter to the ipod on one side, and on the other to the USB A for the SSD, and a Lightning to USB A power supply is what worked. If you have a wifi network available just use Airdrop, but in the backcountry it's not feasible. If your SSD is low power enough, you could probably get away with just a Lightning to USB C cable, which is also about $10.
