Just a wonderful sunflower growing kit! It comes in a large mason jar filled with organic potting soil. The lid has two holes poked into it. The instructions were easy to follow. I have placed it under a grow light to start the germination process. Hoping to get a beautiful Sunflower in a few weeks. Good value for the money. And it’s guaranteed! So if for some reason it doesn’t grow, I just contact the company and they will replace it. It will certainly add a bright spot of yellow to my succulent garden. Very happy with this.

I gave this as a gift to my sister in law and she said it never grew. I was very disappointed, and embarrassed, to give a gift that turned out to be a dud. I would not recommend buying this.

The person I gave this to absolutely loved it. The dirt was kind of seeping out of the box but nothing major. This is a great gift for someone who loves flowers.

Love having a "project" like this in my kitchen window in the winter. I had an issue with some of the bottom leaves yellowing. BacktoRoots customer service answered me almost immediately with suggestions.

I thought this would be a fun addition to the office, once it got going. First of all, this jar is ginormous. There are not a lot of "sunny windowsills" this would fit onto but I did find a place for it. Then, there were no seeds in the box. I emailed the company and did not hear back within a day or so, after which I initiated return procedures on Amazon. Then, lo and behold, I did get a response, telling me I would be getting another package with the seeds. It came within a week and I planted them according to the instructions in the box. A couple of weeks later I was excited to two green sprouts. One quickly died off and the other seemed like it was going to live. It was very close to the edge of the glass which was probably not ideal. But you never know which of these seeds is going to germinate. I hoped it would continue to grow but it slowly dried up and died as well. I ended up still returning this, as I just do not think it is a good investment of time. Maybe the company would send more seeds but you'll have to keep trying to get something to grow and the bottle is so stupidly large and there is so much dirt. I guess the actual sunflower would need more root space, but man it just takes up a lot of real estate for nothing to come of it.

i planted 5 seeds in the jar and i took out seedlings and left one and the four i took out and planted in a separate pot grew so big and even one that looked bruised and damaged is growing compared to the one in the jar, THE JAR is bad no drainage nada nada ALSO im realising i should have just bought seeds for a tenth of the costsEdit: here are some pictures of the sunflowers i transplanted to pots, there are only 2/5 survivors
