Great gift
Bought this as a gift for mom who is very crafty. She has used it multiple times and has had no issues with it. She loves it and has made some amazing pieces of art with it.

Nice burning tool
I have been doing pyrography for a few years now. I started with a cheap one heat burner and it got a short in the cord so bought this one b/c of the sturdy cord, multiple heat settings and tip selection. All of these options are great, however the tip is pretty long and makes it a bit harder to use. Also the place where you hold it gets pretty hot (gave me a blister) I have wrapped it with a rubber coating now but that tends to smell a bit when it gets hot. All in all a good purchase if you know what you are getting. The travel case is nice for storing when not in use.

Great for the artist
If there’s anyone in your life who is remotely creative or likes hands on projects, definitely consider this. Came with everything listed nothing missing. Been working good for 6 months, so relatively reliable.

It's okay; extremely hot handle
I'm a complete beginner so I have never looked or touched a wood burning tool until now. For a complete beginner, I say it's a bit much. TLDR; spend the extra money to buy a wood burning station where you will have more control and precise movements. You cannot hold it like you would a normal pen - you have to basically hold it at an angle quite a distance from the tip, giving less control and maneuverability. For those who can work that way, it's great, but for those like me, who need to be able to hold it like a pen/pencil, it's extremely difficult. Especially if you have never worked with a wood burning tool before! My next gripe came with how unbearably hot the handle would become. Even at the lowest temperature the handle became too hot to hold. I could only manage to wood burn something for about 15 minutes before the handle became too hot to hold. Even with heat resistant gloves, it either made it too hard to hold and control my movements or plain didn't work. Finally, the instruction book was basically bare. Sure, it tells you all the warnings and how to properly handle the tool, but its explanation on the tips and what tip was what and how to use it were nonexistent.I understand patience is key when it comes to products like this, but at least give us beginners some kind of little notebook with actual DETAILED explanations! All in all, not a bad tool to figure out if you like wood burning, but I would strongly recommend putting the money into just buying a wood burning station. It may be more expensive, but at least you'll be spending less time researching what tip does what and how to hold it!

Worth every penny!
This wood burning kit is extremely easy to use. The adjustable temperature control is a great feature, as it is the amount of heat & how quickly or slowly you move the tip that determines the shade & depth of your design. This was my first time to pick up a wood burning tool & I was able to create this monogram design & edge trim with ONLY TWO tips (the groove tip & the crescent moon tip).I can't wait to try out the rest of the 21 tips. They look very interesting.I highly recommend the Aoutk Wood Burning Kit.Have fun with it, but remember safety first! Don't let your fingers move past the orange grip! (I'll never do THAT again.)

Great to start with
This was the first kit I’ve ever tried and it got the job done. The tips do get a little flimsy when heated up but as long as you’re aware of the pressure you’re using they should be fine.Main issue is how hot the handle gets. I’m used to holding pens closer to the tip but tried to hold this higher up on the handle which took some getting used to. Taking breaks here and there helps as well.Overall a decent starter kit with some extra goodies.
