Recently getting back into tobacco pipes. This little number from Savinelli caught my eye and I bought it immediately. I love the elegant design. I do prefer to omit the balsa wood filter. Overall it feels great and is a pleasure to smoke!Highly Recommend.

I was a little hesitant at the price but then it is a Savanelli and they are fantastic smoking and beautifully made. It takes a while to break it in and you can't rush it. Be patient! It will be a freind for life.

The Savinelli Tortuga 614 is a smooth smoker in an elegant package. The fire proof cap prevents ash or tobacco from spilling out when you smoke half a bowl and put the pipe in your pocket. The pipe is light and easy to carry in your mouth, and the shape of the bowl is pleasant to hold in your hand. The balsa filter system works well and stops any wayward bits of tobacco or ash being drawn up through the stem.

Beautiful pipe. Smokes well. Don't have any plans of ever using the stopper but the tortoise shell marked Savinelli is a nice accessory. It did have one small fill inside the bowl.

Of my large collection of quality pipes this Sav is possibly the best! Wide fishtail bit is extremely comfortable and perfect size pipe overall. Smokes fantastic as well. Same exact pipe and price sold on flea bay but delivery is MUCH quicker with Amazon.
