Thorne melatonin works well. I researched several articles on different brands producing Melatonin products. Thorne was one of only a few companies with a reputation for closely monitoring quality and content of their supplement. Amounts varied between claims and actual content for many, but Thorne products actually had what was stated in the product.

A lifesaver

This is a brand I trust. I started taking melatonin again after I read an article linking it to a lower incidence of macular degeneration. Perhaps this is not yet fully-verified, but since I have a family history of the disease, I am not taking any chances.

Seems like a quality product though i haven't noticed any appreciable difference myself.

I’m taking a prescription sleeping pill and I mentioned to my dr that I’m still awake three hours after taking the sleeping pill. She suggested 5-10 mg of Melatonin. I researched this brand and it’s pure Melatonin, nothing else. It’s been three nights, and I’m sleeping straight through the night! Within 30 minutes, I’m out like a light.

I had been taking 2, 3mg time release tablets of another brand before bedtime and sometimes had to take a 3rd after waking up early AM and not being able to get back to sleep. I switched because I wanted a supplement that was just pure Melatonin. I noticed an immediate difference when I switched to the Thorne 5 mg capsule. I just take one before bedtime and it literally keeps me in a deep sleep until it's time to wake up. and I've had no problems falling back to sleep if I need bathroom breaks in the middle of the night. What a blessing!!!

At my naturopath's suggestion, I added melatonin to my nightly regimen about 5 years ago. I took one capsule or 5mg per night and after moving and being a little mobile, I stopped. In March 2013, I suffer a bad brain injury and I was worried that my brain may never function as it once did. The first thing my naturopath said get back on melatonin and fast. But..increase it to 15mg or 3 capsules. I told him I had no problem sleeping anymore even after I stopped. He then gave me more advantages to taking melatonin and not necessarily any brand. I have been taking Thorne Melatonin 5 since my accident. I haven't stopped and I won't. From my injury, I suffered a fractured skull, brain swelling, hemmorraging. The doctors were afraid I may have a stroke because of it. Luckily I didn't. I feel that taking it had helped prevent that. In addition there is information on Life Extension Magazine's website that supports this. It goes on to state that supplementing with melatonin in middle age and beyond has been shown to protect against Alzheimer’s as well as reduce the risk of Parkinson’s disease, shrink the size of the infarct area involved in a stroke, and minimize the brain swelling and dysfunction following a head injury. New discoveries are validating melatonin’s ability to guard the brain from oxidative stress and the neurodegeneration that occurs as a result of aging and environmental factors.1 With this research, melatonin deserves the title of “brain hormone". I highly recommend it and I will never be out of this product.

This product may work but I would not know since the bottle arrived with legit 0 pills in it. It was sealed and everything, even had a silica packet in it lol, but 0 pills. Not sure how that happens? Just be aware when ordering this item!
