Do you have to take down the gate to put this in? Was it difficult to do?

Well I built mine into the custom gate that I made but you could measure the rectangle out drill a starter hole in one corner of and cut it out with a hand held jig saw with a long blade . The two parts sandwich the wood between the front and back and looks awesome. No it was really easy to use the kit and I was impressed with the quality of the product and comprehensive instructions and hardware. Hope this helps you out Bill

Could I use this by itself to hang in an outdoor wall in my courtyard?

It depends on how you hang it. It comes in two pieces (front and back) that are screwed together. If you just want it as a decoration, and not as an insert to see through, then I suppose you could hang it.

want something like this for my exterior wall opening that is 33" x 88" (a door that was covered up). Does this come in any larger sizes?

Great value.

I purchased this iron grate to make this wonderful pet gate!It was super easy to install and actually worked out so much better than I thought it would.I have ZERO carpentry skills. But I put this together in 2 days.The insert comes with a template which was very helpful. And it is also two sided. One side is the full piece. While the other is a frame which screws to the full piece.It is sturdy and would look great almost anywhere.I would definitely buy again.

Great purchase!!

Beautiful!! It is a bit pricey, but these are so hard to find where I live and even online I struggled to find a wide selection. The hardware makes for an easy installation, and you are getting a quality product. We have seen a lot of weather in the 6 months since hanging the gate and it has held up wonderfully!

Beautiful, but it arrived slightly bent

I love the look of this, and like several reviewers before me, I found it a little harder to install. The template was close but I had to trim the hole several times to get it to work. The two sides were bent (again like several other comments I read before typing my post). On the shorter sides, the middle of the insert bowed out about 1/8” and so I had a heck of time trying to adjust for that. It’ll all worked out fine though, and as you can see looks gorgeous in the cedar gate I built.

Made my custom gate even nicer! Take a look

Very nice design. It can be easy or hard to install depending on if your gate is existing or not. Mine was existing and I had some obstacles in the way. I had to trim 2x4s horizontally but it does come with a template 👍👍wich made my life a little easier Just make sure to take note of the measurements to clear any obstacles. Wife says very beautiful!! Happy wife Happy life👍

One-upped the neighbors.

The neighbors put in a nice new fence which then obligated me to step up my game and make something equally as nice for a gate. I chose this thing. It is pretty cool. Lots of other neighbors have stopped and stared in admiration. Looks awesome. So, I one-upped my neighbors and now, next to my lovely gate, their fence looks invisible. Win win.Side note- I don’t have the slightest clue as to what “sheerness” is in the reviews

Very Nice Product

Product was like picture, we installed this into our new gate and everyone really likes it. We used regural picket fence panels for our fence and built our gate out of 1x6x8 boards. The 1x6 boards and the Nuvo window really made the gate stand out from the rest of the fence. We also picked up our hardware for the gate at Menards. We got the gate & Nuvo idea from Pinterest "How a girl built a gate".
