I have to be honest and say I’d forgotten about Modern Talking the good looking German duo of Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen, and came across this bit of nostalgia quite by chance.Modern Talking have been referred to as Germany's most successful pop duo, reaching the top five in many countries. One of their most popular and widely known singles in the UK was “Brother Louie” and this was the song that brought them to my attention in the 1980’s.Their music was pure ‘euro pop’ often with energetic dance music, their arrangements were melodic and fun. But there were also a few ballads as heard in this compilation. However, most of it is high-voltage euro pop.The voices are high and often "electronically enhanced", and they sing over their throbbing rhythms and blazing electronic sounds. If you love the Eurovision Song Contest? You will, I think, like Modern Talking.
