Q: How long do the batteries last? Don't want to need new ones after every use.

I use the mixed about 10-15 secs every day for my coffee and change the batteries maybe twice a year.

Q: How do you take the attachments out, they won't pull out. I've tried pushing in and then pulling out, but there are no instructions?

I just grab the attachment at the base and pull on it. It's a bit snug fitting in the base, but just pull hard and it will come out. But don't pull on the tip, pull at the base. This way you'll avoid breaking the attachment. Hope this helps.

Q: Can I use this to make mayonnaise?

I have never made mayonnaise, but I am doubtful.

Q: Can u take on airplane in luggage

There shouldn't be a problem taking this mixer on an airplane in your checked luggage. I've never had a problem with my electric toothbrush. I've given this mixer to several relatives as a small gift. They love it as much as I do.
