Gets the job done. Miss the S9+
My S9+ after about 7 years finally decided it was time to die and betrayed me further by giving me literally no warning. This purchase was more emergency than anything.Initial reaction- CONS1: The camera isn't flush with the back of the phone. unnecessarily Bulky.2: I HATE the on screen fingerprint reader. Hate it. I could unlock my old phone instantly with my eyes closed by feel alone. With the S20 Ultra, You have to make sure your finger is in exactly the right area of the phone, in just the right position and keep it there for exactly the right length of time and it will work the first try maybe 3/4 of the time.3- Flashlight sucks. Considerably. Might as well just use a candle.4- the touch response is too good. If you think about swiping the wrong thing, you get a new window or changed settings. Relax.5-the screen and back of the phone, I'm convinced were specifically designed to attract dust, debris, fingerprints, smears etc. It's disgusting. If I were a stranger and saw my phone I'd immediately think I was a slob. A case is a necessity, not only because the phone I'm pretty sure is plastic. I thought the S20's were aluminum, maybe I just don't know how cheap aluminum is? I'm not confident at all in the durability of this phone or the screen, I'm glad I bought the protection plan. (The covering over the precious camera however, is in fact resistant to debris and fingerprints).6-why is this screen so big, but my status bar with the time and battery life so unreasonably tiny? I'm looking down my nose holding my phone out like I'm 90 years old trying to read the paper, it's absurd? Can you change that?7-simplified and boring drop down menu/notification screen. Feels dumbed down for boring people. Less personalPROS1- Arrived in pristine condition. You'd never know it was refurbished. I can't find a flaw or scratch anywhere. And after seeing reviews and pictures, I looked for them.2-you can't complain on the price.3-battery life is phenomenal. I had no memory of how long a full charge should actually last until I took my S20 ultra out for it's first day on the town.4-It has an SD card slot. I was able to switch over a lot of information from my old phone. I am not in fact 90, I'm only 39, but I still don't like all this saved information in clouds or saved to Google acts etc. Doesn't feel right, I want my information on an object I can hold in my hand.5-has good storage without the SD card too.5-it's not an iPhone. I think we can all agree that's a win.6- it's 5G. Turns out 5G isn't as widespread as the TV lead me to believe. I've seen it connect to 5G once and I drive all around Western New York. But that's still fun7- other than little changes to the UI, updates and external components... It's virtually the same thing as my S9+. Which I loved. So that's a big deal for me. I don't have to spend time relearning how to use it. With the difference in generations, I was expecting bigger changes.Overall opinionI liked my S9+ better. If they could have kept that design and just upgraded the insides over the years instead of needing new actual phones designs, I'd have been thrilled. If my S9+ was still functional, that would be ideal really (I'll miss you S9+ 💋) Having only dealt with the S9+ galaxy, that it the standard I'm judging from. The S20 Ultra feels genuinely fragile in my hands as opposed to the S9+. It feels like a lower quality phone and I do not anticipate the screen or case holding up over the years that I plan on keeping it. So I would recommend the protection plan offered.

Garbage Phone...
Had the S20+ first. It was garbage. The phone overheated from normal use. The touchscreen regularly malfunctioned to where I couldn't even type out a text message. I thought maybe I just got a lemon, but then I started reading online that many people were experiencing the same problems. I've had Samsung for years, but was so disgusted that they would sell this POS that I switched to another Android. That phone worked well, but Android's built in camera and photo gallery apps are terrible incessantly trying to suck you into social media BS and cloud services. Samsung's camera and gallery apps are still the best in my opinion, so I decided to give them 1 more chance and bought the S20 Ultra hoping the previous problems I encountered would be confined to the S20+. Well, they're not. The S20 Ultra doesn't overheat like the S20+, but the touchscreen problems are alive and well. Typing out a text message is a frustrating and laborious exercise. The camera's autofocus is also very finicky. I ordered and returned 2 S20 Ultras trying to find a "good" one. I'm on my 3rd right now which acts up the least, but still enough to make the phone annoying to use. Samsung went from a 9 to a 2 in my book. I just wish the native Android camera and gallery apps weren't so terrible and actually just did what they were supposed to without trying to ram AI, social media, and cloud crap down your throat. That is the only reason I would ever consider a Samsung again. So disappointed.

Great, nearly flawless
I've bought 2 of the same phones from this seller. Lost one last week unfortunately, but wanted this phone as you cant beat the price. 2 Galaxy S20 Ultras, both practically flawless besides some extremely light barely noticeable scratches on the screen, especially where the original users case marks are. But even then, you need the right angle and light to even see them. The batteries are seemingly new as they both last all day no matter how much I use it. 5☆**UPDATE**It's about 4 weeks later and I've noticed a problem.Editing to 4 stars not out anger, but disappointment as I've noticed my battery life has been nothing even slightly compared to the first phone I've purchased from this seller. I ran AccuBattery and another battery tester app and one says 71% FAIR and the other 76% FAIR. I noticed the manufacturer date for this phone was in late 2020 and the other was early 2022, so I'm sure that has alot to do with it. I also noticed some minor scratches that I didn't see initially underneath my case when I went to clean it. The wear and tear is minor however. But where as my old phone would go 100% to 40% in an average days use, I'm now reaching for the charger by 7pm everyday. The capacity stock claims 4855mAh, but according to AccuBattery, it's only holding a charge equivalent to a 3740mAh battery. I am close to asking for an exchange, but am waiting to see the final results of my battery analysis which takes 10days according to the app. These phones are very nice and fresh feeling out of the box, but make sure the aspects that keep it going are also in good shape. Will buy from again, especially if they honor an exchange with a phone that has better battery life. Will keep this updated.
