Take care to buy the right one - these have the screw thread in the middle but others have it at the bottom. The push down / pop up plug we had fitted with our new sink was probably faulty and finally fell apart as we tried to clean it. A repair looked impractical (even after finding relevant videos online) and then I found these - a pack of two for a modest price. They arrived quickly and, after all the research trying to fix the original, I screwed this one in with no problems - it didn't even need any tools - and it only took a couple of minutes. Works a treat (so far)! I also have a spare should I need it anywhere :-)

The items arrived well packaged and on time. The old, broken pop-up mechanism simply unscrewed from the plug hole and although, in my case I needed a vice to separate the mechanism from the plug cover, I’m sure it could be done by hand if you have a strong grip and a less ancient plug! The entire procedure took less than 10 minutes to complete and probably saved me £25+ if I had got a plumber in. As it was, my purchase comprised two pop-up mechanisms - so if the current mechanism breaks at some time in the future, I have a replacement immediately to hand!

Brilliant. It works perfectly and you get two for less than £7.00p. My bathroom sink plug won't stay down so I took the plug out only to find my oringal one was brown plastic. These dark brass ones should last so much longer. I'm so pleased I found this seller on Amazon. I'm really pleased. Definitely buy from here if your bathroom sink plug won't stay down. Definitely worth buying. So ease to fit and install it. Anyone can do it. It save me getting the bathroom fitter out. Which would of Definitely cost me alot more than £7.00p 5 Star seller.

Looks like a well made piece , great to receive two pieces in the pack ….. unfortunately I ordered the wrong type ( thread was in the centre of the valve I neaded the type with the thread on top ) , wasn’t worth returning so I have spares in the draw that will probably never be used !

I installed this into my basin waste and it worked fine for the first five days. On the fifth day the plug locked shut and I ended up having to remove the waste from the basin to access the offending device and remove it with a pair of pliers. I'm returning it and replacing it with a low tech alternative which I hope will do a better job. Knowing my luck that'll probably be a bit of rubbish too.

I'm a novice DIYer but this was simple to replace. Check your existing popup in your sink (should be able to remove with some grips) as I checked a few of my sinks/bath and some have a different thread location. A plumber or someone more experienced may be able to technical explanation for this. These where perfect for replacing the seized ones I had.
