It works, they compliment the interior. Picture not very good, lacks key features.
I think if you do your research you'll find that there aren't any headrest monitors with heavily favorable reviews. These are no different. I'll break this review into 3 parts. Installation, features, and quality.Installation: I installed these in a 2003 Tahoe. The back of my seats don't come off so running the cables was a bit of a challenge. I used an old wire coat hanger. I bent the coat hanger as straight as I could get it and inserted it into the headrest post hole and then plumbed it out through the bottom of the seats. This took quite a bit of wiggling and twisting to work but was successful. There is no cigarette lighter option for power which means hard wiring them to your vehicle electrical system. I already have aftermarket amplifiers installed under my rear seat so I used the remote turn on and ground from that to power my headrests. This way when I power off my head unit the headrests also turn off. Another part of the install that I think is worth mentioning is the 3 upholstery coverings that come with the unit. There are good and bad points to this. These units ship with the black covering installed by default. Although my interior is of the tan or beige sort the tan coverings offered with this kit are a creamy tan and the gray coverings matched my interior much better. Having this flexibility is a significant plus. Swapping the coverings is another story. In order to remove the black coverings you must remove 4 screws attaching the display to the headrest and then pull the display out of the headrest with the wiring and circuitry attached. This made me a bit weary. Once the display is removed the black covering can be removed fairly easily as it is simply attached with velcro. Getting the swapped color installed was a bit difficult as it is paramount that you get it very tight otherwise it won't cover the headrest properly and you will be able to see the foam padding underneath once the display is reattached. It took me a couple of tries to get it right. Not fun. Other than that everything went OK.Features: There is a small panel that opens at the bottom of the unit to reveal a simple headphone jack. I was hoping for a USB input for device mirroring which is pretty common with these headrests. The other thing I feel is worth mentioning is the harness that plugs into the primary cable after you've plumbed it out the bottom of your seat. The harness for each monitor has 2 sets of composite AV inputs. That's a total of 6 RCA inputs, plus the power and ground wires. The positive power wire also an in line fuse inside of a little black pillbox. This design is in my opinion somewhat cumbersome and create concealment issues with the wiring.Quality: Now, it's the year 2016 for crying out loud and I think we can all agree that display panel technology has gotten better and cheaper since the onset of LCD displays. That being said I can't say that I'm impressed with the picture quality of these monitors. I didn't expect high definition by any means but these displays leave a lot to be desired. Off angle viewing is atrocious meaning you have to be sitting directly in front of them to see anything. Having a great picture would have more than made up for any frustrations with installation. The headrests feel good to the touch and make my interior look somewhat luxurious. Do they work? Certainly. Am I content enough with them to recommend them to a friend? Probably not but I haven't experienced or worked with any other brand headrest monitors so I don't have a reference for comparison. Anyhow, I have screens so the people in the back seat can watch movies. Perhaps a flip down monitor may be the way to go if you're considering viewing for rear passengers. There definitely seems to be a lot more options going that route. I didn't have an ideal spot to mount one as I didn't want to block my rear view mirror when in use or interfere with the rear hvac controls.

Okay product if you only buy 1.
I bought two of these dvd headrests with the sole intention of putting movies onto a usb stick and mirroring one screen to the other so two children could watch the same thing. But I discovered that yes you can mirror the screen, but only in the DVD mode. If you are in USB, or Smart mode (connecting a device via an hdmi cable), or even AV mode (connecting a device via an AV cable), that you cannot mirror the screens. This is a serious flaw. I should be able to hook a usb device into one and watch it on the other screen. The mirroring is done via an AV cable. There should not be a reason for the USB mode to not be able to mirror the screen, other than manufacturer laziness and not wanting to update the software to allow this.
