This is a heartfelt story, focusing on our differences, and beautiful uniqueness
The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt is a captivating, thought-provoking book that encourages readers of ALL AGES to see beyond the surface and recognize that the things that make us feel different or broken are often the very things that give us strength and beauty. Through the quiet wisdom of a ghostly quilt, the story teaches us that difference is not something to fear or hide from — it is something to celebrate. This book is a lovely reminder that when we embrace our individuality, we are far stronger than we ever thought possible. Myself, my (grown) kids, and my grand kids all fell in love with this charming book.

It is well presented with the darkly lit illustrations (it is a story about a ghost after all).
This book tells a delightful story about a lonely little ghost who, because he is different, can’t quite find his place in the ghostly world. The tale about individuality, recognizing one’s qualities, and learning to appreciate who you are is well presented with the darkly lit illustrations (it is a story about a ghost after all). This book will be donated to St. Joseph’s School in Chehalis, WA.

An October Tale with a Meaningful Message
The Ghost Who Was a Quilt by Riel Nelson is a Halloween themed book that can be read any time of the year because of its timeless message. The sweet ghost who was indeed a quilt knew he was different, which did cause him some trouble, but, ultimately offered him the most wonderful experiences - and the opportunity to be brave, very brave. The illustrations by Byron Eggenschwiler reflect the innocence of the little ghost without sacrificing the excitement of that Halloween time of the year. I purchased this book for our grandson, who is about to turn 5, but I have read it over and over. Now, it's time to give the book to him, so that he and his parents can enjoy it together and appreciate its message.
