Q: Are these flimsy from the tip?

I don't think they are flimsy. The spatula works great for us when making fried eggs or flipping pancakes. The rest work just as well.

Q: Are they dishwasher safe?

In my opinion, they are not dishwasher safe. They have wooden handles and need to be washed by hand. They are absolutely beautiful and I really really love them. But I would not want to subject them to dishwasher wear which would surely ruin the finish.
