Wish this came with a three blade prop or three blade prop option.2. Price is still a bit high compared to other brands.3. Does not come with battery terminal clamps, quick disconnects, or any type of batter level monitoring status or indicator.OTHER:1. BUY if you want a fairly reasonable priced trolling motor for a Jon Boat or less, with no frills.2. DON'T BUY if you're looking for a fancy rig, with meter levels, lights, flashing LEDs, etc. this is a real basic unit.3. Debate is still out on; 2 blade prop vs. 3 blade props, vs. angle of prop.4. Make sure you BUY all the accessories you'll need to actually use this at the same time, i.e. replacement prop, meter level for battery, quick disconnects, etc.

I had had some 4 Minn Kota trolling motors in the past. When I sell the boat or upgrade it's always the same result in that the new owner wants my motor too.This one is on a 14' Lowe Deep V and does the job very nicely with a total weight in the boat of around 800# which includes a 9.9 HP gas motor and all the gear for fishing.I assembled it, not that sliding the handle on is much of the way of assembly, and found the first time out that the handle was not locking onto the handle and would slide off.I emailed Minn Kota and found myself with a rep that tried to help but it was over their heads as the part did not show in the list with a separate number. So I called them and got a very good rep on the phone and they are sending me the inner handle complete with the malfunctioning ball detent and the outer handle as we at not sure at this point which part is the faulty one. The little detent ball comes pressed into the inner handle and is just part of that part. Anyway, 6 screws to replace the inner handle and I will be done and much better than returning this to Amazon and ordering another.

Have a small 10 ft. flat bottom jon boat that works great for. I can easily push up stream in local rivers and creeks. I have it hooked up to a marine grade battery and so far had no issues. Been able to enjoy a full day with it making stops along the way up or down river. I also carry a spare battery just in case. The blades are durable and the guard for stumps and limbs has come in hands. The first one I received had broke blade due to shipping, contacted amazon and got complete replacement of trolling motor in two days. Would buy again.

We have a pontoon boat on a lake with no gasoline motors allowed, and this motor takes us around the lake with good speed, even with the boat loaded with people! When the wind picks up and starts to blow the boat, the motor is strong enough to buck the wind and take us where we want to go. Love it! The 50 lb. thrust is really what we needed.

Bought this for my 16ft john boat. We use it on lakes and ponds in the area that don't allow gas motors. Does a good job and moved the boat right along with two larger people in it. Would purchase again and would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive option to do the same.

This trolling moter has Lots of power and works great as a kicker in case I have a problem with the main motor. No more being stranded in the middle of the lake when I run out of gas (whoops) or the engine malfunctions. It did take a bit of playing around to get this attached to my boat and you defenatly want to measure what your working with from a foot or so under the water line to where you sit comfortably so you don't get to short of a shaft. Minn Kota also has a great warranty with service centers near by to provide advice or get you those little things you didn't think you might need, like a battery switch.

We purchased this recently for more boating accessories. Good trolling motor. Runs well and no complaints this far.

Works good in my duck boat. You do need to make sure you REALLY tighten down the clamp bolts. Otherwise and great motor. 5 stars.
