Cutest and safest Sword
My 2 and a half year old grandson loved to play with swords when he saw his older cousins play with them. My heart skipped a beat each time he played with the pointy long sword. I decided to buy one just for him that is soft and safe. This one was an answer to what I really wanted for him! This is so cute and soft without sacrificing the realistic look of a sword to enjoy it. Thank you so much for this whoever designed and created it must be a Mom or a Dad with safety in mind !

Fun and more sturdy than expected
Got these for two very active 4-5year boys. They loved them....and used them vigorously!! The swords finally got battered to the point of needing to be retired....and the shield handles needed a bit of extra help....but that took a lot longer than I expected.

Great for a toddler!
I bought this when I went to visit my great-niece, her partner, and their two-and-a-half year old son, whom I hadn't seen since he had just started walking. I had no idea if it was the kind of thing he'd like or not, but I thought at ten dollars, what could I lose? The sword was slightly bent when it arrived, but only slightly and it seems to have recovered once it got out of its packaging and "rested," which is why it got four instead of five stars, but not three, either. It took him a while to figure this odd thing (to him) out, but once he did, the videos my niece has sent me indicate he's really enjoyed it. What struck me was that the size is perfect for his age--I tried playing with him with it, holding the shield, and the handle was really too small for me, which is actually a GOOD thing for a child's toy! I know people have said they had trouble with the handle popping off, and I warned them about that, but it's been a couple of months now, and his still seems to be working okay and otherwise it seems to have a good mix of sturdiness and safety/softness. Who knows, at his age, how long it will hold his interest, but he's having fun with it now and...ten bucks, you know?

If you like 1 out of 2 things working
Sword was cool. Shield was cheap. Could be better priced for that reason

Two years later, still a favorite toy
This foam sword and shield set have been a beloved toy in our household for the last two years. We got two sets when our kids were 2 and 4; they'd started to get aggressive with their play, turning everything into a weapon. I've always been uncomfortable with play fighting but a professional suggested teaching the boys to play fight in a safe way using foam toys, teaching them to hit only the shields and not each other. After we taught them the new rules and gave them these toys, things really settled down. They play with them all the time and they only hit the shields and not each other. What a relief! Thank you!

Great except for shield handle
My son was using random objects as a sword so we found this and got it for him. Must softer than a vacuum attachment. He loves it- the only problem is the shield handle snaps onto the back of the shield and the snaps come off too easily so he can’t use it. It pops off after a few seconds.
