Q: The pieces in the kits are interchangeable?

Hi there, Many of our construction and engineering kits have interchangeable parts. Some of our Kids First kits include bulkier parts for younger children. In the box it includes a motor box, if you add batteries & assembled per instructions it will move on its own. Don't put it in water.

Q: Are the batteries and motor supposed to get really hot when using for short periods of time? We took out the batteries but they were too hot to touch.

Thank you for your question. The only time we've ever experienced this is when the end-user accidentally inserts the batteries in the wrong polarity, causing a short circuit.
