Perfect upgrade
Bought to replace old Devolo 500mps adaptors that failed after 12 years. So far, i'm impressed. Next day delivery with Prime. Setup very straightforward, it takes a second or so to pair units, do it close together before moving them to chosen locations. 2 adaptors in each pack (ports relates to the number of ethernet plug in points on the adaptor, either one or 2 per unit depending on what you've purchased). Ive got 4 adaptors around the house, not obvious from the blurb but from TP-Link website i think you can have up to 16.2 weeks in and they've performed faultlessly on security cameras, sky box and gaming PC.For those interested in speeds and loss, my own observations using the same computer/cable.Cable into the router 150 down, 30 up ping of 8ms (as advertised by provider).Speed through adaptors on the same ring, 100 down, 30 up, ping of 12ms.Speed through adaptors on different rings, 85 down, 30 up, ping of 12ms.My old units (when working) gave 18 down, 12 up and a ping of 16ms on different rings so this is a significant improvement, really pleased with the quick and reliable ping for gaming.Last caveats, I've used my own cables not the ones provided (another review suggested they arent great). I also haven't tested speeds when all being used at the same time, that said we have been using things simultaneously and i've not noticed a problem.

Great network extender
Great product, simple to use and set up. I wanted my NAS in my bedroom but the router is in my front room. The NAS best works best plugged direct into the router via ethernet cable. These plugs solved my problem. The NAS thinks it's plugged direct into the router. Faster than WiFi, it's a great solution to many home networking problems at an affordable price.

Great using own cables, not so great with included cables
Was disappointed initially with the download speeds we got with the include CAT5 Ethernet cables supplied, 93mbps downloadwhich is significantly less then our available speed. However using separately bought UGREEN CAT8 cables the download speed jumped to 271mbps, 109mbps upload and 8 ping which is much more in line with expectationsSo if you’re buying these and want better download speed definitely add better Ethernet cables to the cost

Great product
Amazing device, brought it because i was having packet loss issues but my ping was good, fixed it completely and never had an issue since, you set them up once and that’s it, i have had them for at-least 2 years, recommend them completely

Ethernet to external buildings
First bought the AV1000 two years ago, and also a third adapter. When I got power out to my garden observatory and also a potting shed, laying in ethernet cable involved far too much in terms of following regulations as well as the physical installation of cable. So, with one unit installed by my router, I then installed the other two in both of the outbuildings, paired them all up and since then have enjoyed full speed connections for the past two years. A friend needed a similar solution last week, so I took mine to his house to prove it worked, then bought him his own set.Two points worth bearing in mind. Firstly, use these directly in a wall socket. Do not use on a trailing lead for it won't perform as well. You have a pass through socket, so plug any trailing lead into it instead. Secondly, these really need to be on the same ring main circuit. In both the installation cases above, this was the case. You'll need to refer to advice from others to see how succcessful or otherwise these will work between separate ring mains. Other than that, these are spot on. Oh, some years ago, I had the AV600 units. Got to say I was not impressed. They did the job as well as they were designed before, but so glad I moved on to the AV1000 units.

Problems with Sky Q boxes and Gigaclear Linksys router? This is the only solution which works.
Items arrived the following day as promised and well packed. Out of the box the units were easy to set up and work exeedingly well. Highly recommended.

They work!
Edit: Reduces to 3 stars due to their short life. Bought in May 2023, over Christmas they began to drop the link from time to time with them finally giving up on January 3rd.I did spend 30 minutes online chatting with TP-Link as the only option Amazon gave me was to talk direct to the manufacturer. However, at the end of the troubleshooting, they stated the product was faulty and to request a replacement from Amazon. I stated the only option given to me by amazon was direct with TP-Link but they insisted it was Amazon's responsibility (which by law it is). So I inlaying chatted with Amazon and they told me to send them back for a refund after which I was to reorder them myself.I'm not particularly impressed that the kit lasted just 8 months, but at least I have another set to keep me going. These manufacturers need to improve the design of these things though as this will be my forth set (they don't last very long). It's really bad that these things have to be recycled so often.I had a set of older TP-Link branded Powerline adaptors, (TL-PA7020P) that helped me transfer my outdoor camera stream to my switch indoors, however, one day they just stopped working. I tried a full reset and various other things including firmware updates but nothing worked. They would connect in the house when plugged into the same double socket, but as soon as they were apart, the signal would just drop and the LED would go red.Why do I say this? Well, in case you have had the same issue as me frankly. These things seem to work for a finite time and then begin to break down with flaky connections.Enter this set. I just needed a fairly basic set of powerline adapters and settled on these. They were, after all, just bought to see if a new set would work, or whether it was something to do with my electrics (unlikely as the house is less than 4 years old). I plugged the first adapter in the garage and plugged the ethernet cable in from my EAP-110 outdoor antenna, two LEDs came on. I went indoors and plugged in the second adapter to the socket near my switch, plugged the Ethernet cable in and two LEDs came on. I waited 60 seconds, nothing, no third LED to show they were linked. All I can think of is these things take several minutes to find each other as, just as I was giving up, the third LED lit up!I checked, and all the cameras worked fine, a lot faster than they were before as I was using a TP-Link Deco X55 in the garage to try to get the signal through, it was only reading one bar so not a great signal. So I'm very pleased as I don't need to purchase the Outdoor X50 Deco now (an expensive test that might not have worked so well). So it seems these things do have a finite life, but I would rather buy a set of these every two years than faff about with trying to get a wi-fi signal into what is effectively a Faraday cage (a house with foil lined insulation throughout). And if you had a set of these that suddenly packed up, buy a new set, you might just solve the problem.
