Hemoglobin not for everyone?
The strips were used with a FORA 6 meter bought from the same supplier. They are easy enough to use and seem to work reliably for glucose values but that's not my problem.The hemoglobin results were extremely variable on a day to day basis and consistently 20 to 30% below hospital values. It's been a prolonged test over two packs and I have worked hard on sampling technique including trying coarser lancets. This could be an effect due to my condition or medication but the strips don't seem suitable for everyone. Unfortunately it's expensive to find out if they work for you.

Good for measuring hematocrit
Great for keeping an eye on HCT. Tested before and after blood draw and results were identical.

Inconsistent availability.I will be looking for alternatives.The product is ideal, the supply is weak.
