Cratex Abrasive Block Extra Fine Toy Small

I've watched youtubers use cratex sticks for quite awhile, but I could never bring myself to spend any money on them. I had a job that needed some edges broken that were going to be a pain to do any other way, so I bought the extra fine block. It is a godsend. So much easier and since then I have purchased a medium as well. Between the two, they have covered all of my needs so far. They won't hog away material, but for breaking an edge, they work great!

Works pretty good to clean my tracks no complaints. I’m happy with it.

Works good but leaves a lot of dust

For a personal shop, this abrasive is reasonably priced and does what it supposed to do. Handy to have around for those jobs where I don't want to risk damaging my expensive diamond stones.

Does a great job of cleaning model train tracks.

I use Cratex rods (the machine turning set) to break lathe machined edges - works better that Scotchbrite and sandpaper. I have used the fine and X-fine rods to mildly polish turned surfaces. And to remove old gunk on tooling. This wide block works better than a rod for those purposes.

This package of abrasive paper is a good value. There’s lots of sheets of each grit, and the grit assortment is useful, especially for metalworking and model making.
