MAYFLASHN64 Controller Adapter for Switch & PC Windows N64 Adapter MF103

I grabbed this as I have an N64 with plenty of controllers, so didn’t feel the need to overpay for Nintendo’s N64 switch controller.Works great, all the mapping has been completely sorted as Mayflash are always adding new firmware updates to keep up with Nintendo online.Works like it should buy with confidence.

Had an old N64 controller and bought this to play Goldeneye on switch online. Had to swap the A and B button which was easy to do and then it works perfectly. Can play Goldeneye the way it is meant to be played, so much better than using joy con's.

Before I purchased this I did as much research as I could understanding its faults or initial setup woes. For the users that got this to work on their Windows 10 machines it seems like they have a great stroke of luck or can troubleshoot much better than me. There's very limited information out there on this adapter so troubleshooting for an easy solution is very difficult to find right now. My experience with 2 Official N64 controllers and Retrobit's Tribute64: After updating to latest firmware from Mayflashe's support page (V1.08.13) the buttons respond fine as well as the C-buttons on Direct Input for PC but the joystick no matter how much I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, configuring on windows, configuring on applications the joystick does not register every slight movement needed for games such as Goldeneye and lags heavily with every single game. I also use these controllers on a PAL Nintendo 64 console and there is nothing wrong with my joysticks on the console after side by side testing. Like I said some users have said by plugging the USB into the motherboard ports instead of the front panel hub fixed the issue for them but for me it didn't and I have no idea what they have done differently because like I said there is very limited information.Mayflash used to make really great products such as my Gamecube adapter for WiiU/PC that works to this day but somethings happened to this company and I'll be avoiding them for a long time now. Buy at your own risk because you may be unlucky like me.

Doesn't support rumble or memory packs

Really happy with this adapter and its working great on the switch.Playing Goldeneye with my n64 controllers the way it's meant to be played!With the latest firmware you can also press - minus button to access save points but pressing z and start together. Now it's perfect

Didn’t work straight away for Switch but just needed to download the firmware update (on a Windows machine) and swap the A and B buttons then worked great for our old original N64 controllers! Brilliant for playing the N64 games on Switch!

This had mixed reviews but I bought it as it was this or buy a N64 Wireless at an inflated price. I already had a spare N64 controller from my N64 so looked worth a try. Took a bit of fiddling about to set up but once done, it worked and I was playing OOT and a little Goldeneye. All good and then after a week, it failed to work on my switch. Connected to PC and updated firmware but back on the switch; nothing. Tried different USB port and still nothing. It is massively disappointing. Only option is to return and buy an overpriced N64 wireless controller. I have emailed the supplier and if anything useful comes from that, will add to the review. For now, I would recommend steering clear of this.

Cannot get this adapter to work at all. Controller is fine, works great on a real N64. Controller shows up in software but doesn't respond to any inputs. Firmware update had no effect. I bought this ages ago and haven't had time to play with it so it's now beyond the returns window so I will just have to deal with the loss, but very annoying!

This is one of my favorite Amazon finds of the year! I'll admit my secret shame...I never played any Zelda games growing up. So this year I took a poll of my friends and was told that Ocarina of Time on the N64 was a good place to start. So I downloaded the expansion for the Switch where I can play retro games and I started Ocarina of time. It was extremely hard to play as the joycons don't have as many buttons as an N64 controller. Enter this gizmo! I have plenty old N64 controllers so this was a perfect fix. It takes a bit of tweaking to make it work the way I have it, but you can find tutorials on YouTube to walk you through easily. This is so worth the money for the nostalgia alone!

Tenía miedo de que me mandaran un producto falsificado, pero si fue original, funciona a la perfección en N Switch y en PC, al principio tenía invertidos el A&B pero en la página de soporte viene las instrucciones para cambiar el mapeo. No tiene input lag ni nada raro. Recomendado al 100

I just received this adapter for my nintendo switch to play Nintendo 64 titles with the Nintendo Switch Online + expension pack.IMPORTANT: You need to updatet the adapter first with the latest firmware update available for this adapter on mayflash website. You need a computer for this. Follow their step by step guide it's really easy.After that, just plug the adapter on the switch, make sure the "mode" light is at red colour, and press START+RIGHT(on D pad), hold for few second. This way, A=A and B=B. Otherwise they will be reversed.After that, you have a completly functional original N64 controller on the Switch. No perceptible input lag and everything feel like playing on the original Nintendo 64.Please, use original OEM Nintendo 64 controller and not cheap knockoff, theynare all bad. You can find them at your local retro gaming store or marketplace or ebay. Check for the joystick as most of them have been abused and are loose.
