The first shipment had a tool that wouldn't charge. Support team however was very quick to respond and provided ace support service in replacing the tool asap! No problems with the replacement, works as advertised!Upon pressing the red button, the tool heats up very fast, within a matter of seconds, so be careful not to burn yourself! The recommendation of heat protective gloves is no joke! Cannot recommend this for children or those prone to accidents, however if you are using a 3d printer you already know the risks of hot things and should be ok. The cap design will not fit on the tool unless the switch is in the off position, and even with the switch on the tool doesn't heat unless the red button is also held down. These are great safety features of the design and extremely helpful for handling the tool safely. All things considered the design is about as "safe" as this kind of cutting/melting tool can get.The kit includes a few neat touches like a variety of heads, a stiff brush for cleaning off surfaces, and a metal fold out stand to support the tool head when waiting for it to cool down. I used it to cut out a model from some scaffolding and the tool performed well, softened the PLA on contact, and just works with ease like shown in the video!5/5 for both a very thoughtfully assembled kit, and for the excellent seller support!

Even though this is basically an over-glorified soldering iron, I love this thing. I work in a 3D print lab, I make lots of things, and I mend lots of failed prints. This has become a necessity in my tool box. I purchased the wireless one, I wasn’t expecting it to be that good, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway. I can’t figure out how long the actual battery life is on the thing, but I’ve been able to run it mostly non-stop for about 30 minutes (I have carpal tunnel that’s about as long as I can press the button before my whole arm locks up.)I like that this product has an on switch as well as requiring the user to press a button for it to power. This makes me feel better about keeping it in my toolbox. It also has a very bright light that lets me see what I’m melting. The bits are very easy to change. Overall, I’m giving rating this a must-have.

At first it got hot and worked well... For a minute. Turns on but doesn't heat up at all even when I hold the button down. Bummer.

Easy to use, was able to repair one of my 3D prints rather easily with this tool. You can’t even tell it was damaged to begin with. In order to heat up to tips you must hold down the button which will then immediately start heating up the tip and it turns on a little LED light which is very helpful especially when dealing with miniatures.

I honestly would rate this seller 10 stars if possible. They went above and beyond with their customer service. I will buy from this seller any chance I get. This kit is awesome and makes cleanup of the 3d print effortless. About the only thing I don't like is you have to hold the button to heat it up and that's hard with my arthritis. But a great product!!

I have used this for close to a year, and the tip stopped heating, Upon reaching out to the seller they sent a replacement tip within hours free of charge.Great for fixing blobbing and smoothing, also modifying prints easily

Should've read the other review that mentioned this. I was removing supports from a small printed object-- something a hobby knife could do, but I thought this would be easier. The tool snapped with the slightest pressure-- not the replaceable tip, but the hot end that it screws into.
