Q: Assembly back and seat do not line up to be secure to each other

I had to push things around a bit to get them to line up but once done it works fine. The two cushions have to compress a bit to give the nice tight fit. If it won't line up with a fair amount of exertion, maybe that the thing is warped some how. See if there is a customer service number for the manufacturer.

Q: The peg on the base of the seat keeps coming out of the adjustment lever. How do I correct this problem?

I couldn't keep it in place either. I was afraid I would break it

I seem to remember that the ottoman and the chair are in the same box. In any event, we got everything at the same time.
