CRASHY McCRASHER
Have you ever wanted to blow $179.99? If so, here's your perfect chance. This absolutely does not fly without heavy modification. So much so that Amazon didn't even approve my first review of this. This RC Airplane looks cool, but does not fly without modifying it. First, you must angle the motor downwards in order to create an adequate low pressure above the wing. Second, you must reinforce the nose of the aircraft because it will absolutely still nose dive into the earth, repeatedly. Third, I recommend doing as I did and purchasing some 17oz kevlar to reinforce the interior of the nose to prevent pieces from being lost in the field. The tape you see here is athletic tape with some cyanoacrylate glue that I picked up from a local hobby shop. All in all, this is a crash test dummy. Purchase extra servos ahead of time because these plastic geared beauties will strip ASAP and need to be replaced. Also have a space ESC and motor on-hand because that will most likely quit on you within the first few flights as well. Surprisingly, the battery (of all things) was surprisingly decent. Event though this was made and boxed in 2015, the battery still works. Imagine that?20240328 update:Added pics of the expanding foam gap sealer nose. Will update more when it finishes curing and I get time to shape and seal it. Also poked a hole in the side to route the antenna vertically for better range. Soldering an SMA connector and mounting 2 dipoles in a + pattern will yield better range.

Horrible
I’ve been flying for years. I wanted an FPV. This plane is completely out of control. The controls do not work and you can’t control the plane at all. It took off and barrel rolled into the ground. I tried to maneuver the batter placement and had nothing to do with it. Horrible horrible plane. That’s why they don’t accept returns. They know it’s going to be horrible.

Great Plane, but broken ESC
Great Plane, but broken ESC (go get the ZETA 30 AMP ESC for around $21). I use a different remote and a stronger battery, so i recommend buying a BNF version if you have a remote. Plenty of room inside the fuselage, and strongly recommend lamination everything with 3.0mm laminating flim. I'm happy with it for the price, and is still large in size compared to other planes (Other that the RANGER EX).I have the Fatshark Attitude V3 headset and buying the raceband transmitter and camera, and I'm going to use that on the plane.

Research before you buy.
This is an airplane. It will NOT fly right until you make some mods. For starters the motor does not have enough up angle built in. In this condition out of the box it would take an expert pilot to fly it. Search for " 1.4m Ranger mods". You really want to buy a plane based on a reviews of people who have not flown it? Nice fit and finish! Great instruction manual. Can be made to be a nice flyer. LG does not work well in grass.
