Amazing value for every wood worker! (YouTube)
As someone who watches a ton of YouTube videos (that makes me super credible right?) these come highly recommended by lots of YT woodworkers. My first set of chisels were cheap and were unable to really do the things I wanted to do (be sharp, hold an edge for a long time, be square, be able to take a really great mirror polish). These need very little to almost no work to get to what I wanted right out of the box. Some stropping with compound on my Tormek and these are in super shape! Some work with these on a really high grit diamond stone and they are perfection. Incredibly great steel and the wooden storage box is a huge blessing (and looks great too). Highly recommend these!

Narex Chisels are what I will be buying from this moment forward
These chisels are very high grade. They were sharp right out of the box and ready for use. I ordered these along with Blue Spruce chisels from Woodpecker. The Narex chisels, my opinion, are better made. I rated the Narex chisels at 5 stars. I rate the Blue Spruce chisels at 4 stars. I will have to sharpen the Blue Spruce chisels before they can be used. The Narex chisels are ready to be used straight from their presentation box. The handles on the Blue Spruce are on the small side. Narex handles are larger giving the user more control. I, personally, am very disappointed with the Blue Spruce chisels.

Good Chisels, Bit of Work to Prepare
Good chisels, as the top-line says. Thing is, almost all of mine were just a little bowed in the blade. It took ~4 hours each to flatten both sides of the bevel on a 100, 300, 1000 grit diamond plate progression. After that , no issues. Sharpened to 16000 grit, and the steel took the edge nicely. I have used them for inlay, door hinges, rifle stock cut-outs, all sorts of things. Just be sure to keep sharpening them as you use them. The cosmoline, or whatever coating they used, also was a bit annoying to remove. On one of the chisels the coating dyed itself blue somehow. No idea how or why, the chisel was unused in its case. Worst thing it was exposed to was ~8 days of basement humidity. I ended up scrubbing the crap out of it with Goo Gone because it was annoying me.

Excellent quality.
I purchased these for my husband as a Christmas gift. He always says the man with the most tools wins. Oddly enough, despite all the items he has in our three stall garage, wood chisels were not among them. I purchased these as a gift not really knowing too much about what makes these a good product, but they came in a very nice case, and they are extremely sharp. I highly recommend for your tool enthusiast.

You Won't Go Wrong With These
I would consider this to be a fine set for the beginner and expert alike. The six chisels provide you with a good variety of widths suitable for most applications. I found that the protective coating that the chisels are shipped with was easily removed with a little acetone. The markings on the steel are printed, not etched into the steel, so they will wipe off when removing the coating. The steel is very hard so, out of the box, the set-up might take a little longer than a softer steel chisel. The backs weren't as flat as others that I have bought, meaning that you'll need to invest some time there. This was the only negative that I found, but not severe enough to affect the 5 stars. Fortunately for me, the chisels that I received all had slightly concave backs, so the flattening didn't take as long as it would if you have convex backs. They are manufactured with 25 degree bevels, so if you prefer a different bevel angle (I prefer about 30 degrees, with no micro bevel), plan on a little work before you jump into any woodworking. If you want some advice for setting up your chisels, I would recommend checking out Paul Sellers on YouTube. After achieving the proper set-up, I found that they hold a sharp edge for quite a while. I'm no metallurgist, but I understand that they will hold an edge even longer after a few sharpenings. Something to do with the hardening process during manufacture. The thickness of the steel is a little more than what you might find with "premium" chisels, but that didn't affect the performance in a negative way. They are well suited to cleaning up dovetails and for cutting mortises and shaving tenons and dados. The handles are a good size and shape and are comfortable. I applied a little BLO to mine, just for a little protection. There is a wood nub at the top of the handle, so if you like to use the "palm hammering" method, you might leave a welt on your hand. I like to use a soft-face hammer (don't use a metal hammer!).You can pay (a lot) more for the "premium" chisels, but, in my opinion, you don't need to. With proper set-up and care, these should last a lifetime.
