Great price for the remote. Looks and works just fine. Packaging leaves much to be desired.Why do they think its okay to ship a plastic electronic device in a soft sided envelope.And then they wonder why people return items, or is it that cheap just to send a replacement.

I'd looked for years for a replacement remote for my Denon AVR-391. The originals were discontinued; they were only available used and likely ready to fail if not already bad. For years the only replacement remote available "looked" much like the original but reviews indicated it was subpar in many ways, simply not controlling basic functions as it should have.I decided to check Amazon again recently and to my surprise this remote is now available. It is a near clone of the original and does every function I've tested on it. It's especially nice to have volume control buttons back. My original started failing slowly over time, and for the last few years I'd have to squeeze all the blood out of my fingers to make volume up or down work. Even after cleaning the board they'd barely work. Then they stopped working completely.

After 12 years we finally wore out our original Denon AVR-391 receiver remote. I took a chance on this replacement remote and, right out of the box it is ready to go and it works great! Although it is a bit lighter weight than the original, it looks like the original (minus the Denon logo) and the buttons feel like the original! A great value and excellent replacement remote.

It's exactly like the original and it works but it doesn't feel as heavy as the original remote.
