Q: Is this bleach which can work over another color base?

Yes, it worked for me. I had dyed my hair a dark brown, then decided it was too dark and used this to begin lightening my hair back to where I had it before the dark brown. Color result was just what I wanted !

Q: I only need to use a little at a time. Can this be re-used after opening? How long will it keep after opening?

I have in the past divided into 2 equal parts. You have to save left over half very carefully in zip lock bags in a cool dark place. It keeps about 5 or 6 months.When I use the second half, it helps to leave it on just a little longer. Although it does still work, in my opinion it doesn't really look as good or "fresh" when I use the whole box. Try it once to see if it works for you.

Q: My hair pulls brassy/red normally... what color should I use to make it lighter not yellow?

I use H60. I leave it on for 25 minutes to get the golden blonde. It gets lighter the longer you leave it on. If you left it on the whole 35 minutes, it will be a whiter shade of blonde.

Q: Can you use this over other hair color products?

Yes I dye my hair style it apply highlights back to back just make sure you condition when dye and highlights say to.
