Great knife..
For $11 dollars a great 6 inch utility knife..Stainless steel, very thin, excellent to slice chicken breasts in half, not a chopping knife. Does the job..Sharpens easily, balanced correctly..Would recommend..

Excellent utility/paring knife
This has been an excellent knife for my needs. My previous paring knife (several years old) had broken into two pieces, so I needed a replacement. This knife is an excellent size, easy to hold and very sharp, so it meets all my requirements. I'm definitely pleased with this purchase!

Not German steel/ Zwilling/ Made in India
So I recently have bought 4 new knives, three lower end Henckles (NOT Zwilling Henckles which are the good German steel/ two figures in the logo— don’t compare the Henckles with one figure, those are Henckles and their low end models). So, this serrated knife is bit bigger than I thought it would be, but I’m happy about that. It will be great for smaller bread loaves, grapefruits/citrus, tomatoes of course, and whatever is smaller than you would need a full size bread knife/serrated edge for. The steel is a bit of a more brittle steel, this will break if you smack it wrong I can tell already. However, this is a respectable $11 knife. The handle has a nice weight to it, the rivets are smooth, it has a full tang and is altogether a very OK blade. Note- this is a a Solutions model made in INDIA— not China.I mention this because the paring knife I got from Henckles that was made in China, was much inferior. The steel seemed even cheaper, the handle edges were almost sharp/ not very comfortable and very scuffed. This India made knife is also not finished to perfection, but it is overall a step up from the China one. I would buy another Henckle that is India made if I needed another knock around knife, I wouldn’t buy the China made one.The Spain made paring knife shown in the photo is also NOT the same as my Zwilling Henckles German made knife. The handle it much lighter, and the balance on the Spain and India made knives are a bit off and too light in the blade. This is more disappointing in the Classic paring knife as it was $27, which is still less than the Zwilling model/German made blade (about $45 usually) , so these are an actual mid grade knife bc the Spain made knife is German steel, just not the quality German steel. Now, if you are in the market for a knock about knife and don’t want to pay much/aren’t looking for especially great quality, the India made knife is the way to go. Skip the China made Henckles unless you literally find one for $5 or less, are fine sharpening it frequently and don’t plan to keep it long. (My good Zwillings are going on 27 years now, and only a paring knife has needed to be replaced due to a tip snapping off, I need to return that to Henckles).Another brand that popped up were Hammer Stahls, which are tempting bc they are made with the same German steel as Wusthof Tridents (which doesn’t make them the same, but you’re in the ballpark). The HS’s LOOK well designed and made, and you will think they are a deal, but they aren’t. The steel is nice, but the handle has 8 rivets that stick up annoyingly, the handle is too short even for my small hands, and the balance is way off. Horrible, horrible design. Go with the Henckle Classics made in Spain instead. The steel isn’t quite as nice, but the handle build and feel will make up for it. If you must have the good German steel but don’t want to pay Henckle prices, go with the Scan Pan knives over the Hammer Stahls. Scan Pan makes amazing cookware, their knives are reasonably priced, good steel and scored very well in independent tests.TLDR- India made Henckles are a good value for the low price, if you want a little better quality go with the Spain made Classics. Avoid true China made Henckles at all costs unless you pay $5 or less and have zero appreciation/care for quality cutlery and will just abuse it.Check out Scan Pan knives for a huge steel upgrade, comfortable design, good build, and still reasonably priced. Avoid Hammer Stahl due to extremely poor machining and design/not comfy in the hand, definitely not for larger hands.

My favorite knife of all time
Y’all, I am 72 and have owned a lot of knives in my life. A few years ago I purchased Henckels steak knives and couldn’t believe how well they cut! The other day I purchased the Henckels 6” utility knife. It is our new favorite kitchen knife. I bought another one, along with more steak knives, to carry in our RV. If you are in the market for a quality mid-price range knife that is lightweight, balanced and sharp, look up Henckels.

Very sharp
This knife is very sharp and comfortable to use. The blade is thinner than a standard chef's knife so it slices and chops very easily. The blade is thinner and more flexible than a standard chef's knife so it's not suitable for heavier chopping. Because it is thinner, it slices through some things better and doesn't get stuck. I like the handle because it isn't slick and is comfortable to use. It is a high quality knife and I recommend it.

I recently moved and needed a cheap knife until I got my stuff
I needed a cheap knife to use as I recently moved into a new house and haven’t received my stuff yet. I went with Henkels because the name brand, I own some of their more costly kitchen knives along with some Wustoffs. This knife is surprisingly sharp and well made for a knife that costs under ten bucks. The blade is thin, but it’s lightweight which is nice. Sharp sharp sharp! This got me through cooking just fine and I am still surprisingly reaching for it even though I have more expensive knife’s available to me now. If your looking for a really inexpensive knife, you can’t go wrong with this one.

No the usual Henkel quality
I have been using Henkel knives both at home and professionally since I bought my first 8 inch Chef’s knife, with my first paycheck from cooking. The handle as usual is well made and has a nice feel in hand. However, the blade is another matter. The normal 15 degree edge was off on one side. This was first Henckels knife I have needed to stone before being able to use it in all the years I’ve owned them. Usually a quick couple of passes on a steel and they are ready to go. Maybe a little thing but to someone who values their kitchen cutlery, not so small.
