Sweet throne, Gibraltar is HARD to beat!!
Hello all,I've had this throne for 8 months now, and WOW I am amazed!! Let me start off by saying I am a big guy...I'm 265LBS/6'3" and I drum daily typically for at least and hour. I have had nothing but good luck from Gibraltar and this throne is solid! Nice large padded seat that makes double pedals a breeze. This is by far my favorite throne I have used...Solid construction, sturdy, and comfy seat. Also this seat adjust to my needs for height, it does go low too but I have long legs and I don't like the monkey ferking a football seat position. Sometimes I play for multiple hours at a time and with this throne I don't have to get up and stretch my legs or get fatigued from the seat. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good piece. I have had others but they just don't hold up/accommodate to my size for either height or weight...I guess they think all drummers are 5'5"/165...lol jk, but really it is nice to know. I know when I read reviews I liked hearing a bigger person say if it held up or not and this one for me has been great.

BEST VALUE OUT THERE!
Needed a new throne and I saw this one here on Amazon, I thought why not. I was about to spend ~$160 on a high end one (pork pie, dw, etc.) then I saw this one for almost half that...it's a no brainer. It's got everything you need in a drum throne without a ridiculous price tag. Threaded height adjustment, military grade legs and hardware (super thick and heavy), and it's really comfy, what more could you ask for. Bottomline is I wanted a rock solid throne that is comfy with threaded height adjustment and I got just that....for half the price of what I expected to pay. Sure it's not too fancy looking and doesn't have an super thick padded seat with sparkles and zebra print but it's strong and wont creep down when you play...that's all that matters. On top of that Amazon came through, as always, with LIGHTNING fast shipping, it was at my door the NEXT DAY!

Super solid!
Bought this for my drummer husband. We originally purchased the DW Airlift Throne (which we kept and love) but it wasn't portable enough for easy transport to and from gigs. And there was no way I was going to get a cheap throne after hearing horror stories about certain unfortunate seat malfunctions. This Gibraltar throne was a great price and is solid as the rock it was named after. It doesn't budge. The seat is very cushioned but smaller than a lot of more expensive seats. Having said that, since purchasing this seat we've tested many others on various Guitar Center trips and we agree that this $90 seat is better than many of the more expensive seats, including the Rocnsoc. My husband is pretty lean, but he's ALL over the place when he plays. We are so happy with this purchase! It's great for a gigging drummer who needs a solid throne that won't break the bank.

5 Star 😃
this throne is The best I've ever had. it's well constructed, very durable, stand is solid and heavy. course I'm a 125 girl, so I don't know if a 300 lb person would find it as good as I. I haven't played drums in probably 2 decades. I have one of those practice pads, which I also love. I practiced for hrs today. like probably 5. comfortable all the way. never got tired or sore. again, I'm a light weight person.

Bargain Throne
The drum throne is excellent. It's sturdy and durable as all hell.Where it falls short is in the hardware that "tightens" the seat. Both the seat hardware, and the hardware that tightens the post seem to loosen up after a while. There is a "lock" that can be tightened with a drum key that stops the seat from raising and lowering, but eventually everything comes loose. I usually end up having to over tighten things (which causes some concern on wear.)The throne is decently comfortable, although I wished I'd gone for the 5" seat.Overall, it was a substantial upgrade compared to my previous throne, and for the price, it's does the job well!

Best Bang for your Buck in the Throne Market
Period, end of story, there is no better deal in the throne market. You can go ahead and waste your one hundred sixty dollars or more on a Pork Pie if you want to but you're doing just that - wasting it. This throne will save you seventy bucks or more and perform just as well as a Pork Pie or Roc-n-Soc throne.Extremely heavy duty. Be careful moving around the legs / stand of the throne with out the seat on it. It cracked me in the face and split me open. I've practiced martial arts for 9 years and have been punched and kicked in the face - never felt a stronger blow than this thing slipping and smacking me.The comfort level of this seat is phenomenal, better than any throne I have sat on, ever. And I've sat on everything from low end Pearl thrones to Pork Pies and Roc-n-Socs. Don't listen to anyone who says this isn't comfortable. If you're weird and want a firm or hard seat and somehow feel more comfortable on a hard seat over a soft one, then you will disagree with me on this seat, it is nice and soft. Wonderful for me.You can trust this thing will not budge when you have the height adjusted properly. I had a Pearl that would constantly sink lower and lower under my weight, only 150 lbs. This thing has a much stronger locking mechanism than the Pearl, combined with threaded height adjustment (meaning the shaft has to be turned to adjust the height) AND a memory lock. I can't imagine any amount of weight causing this thing to sink, it just doesn't seem possible with the threaded height adjustment. If you're not a drummer, get yourself a drum key! This throne does not come with one and you WILL need it to unlock and adjust the memory lock.HIGHLY recommended. Don't try and cheap out and get a throne for thirty to fifty bucks. No matter what you're income level is, this throne is worth the extra time you need to save the cash for this throne over a cheaper one.
