Microshift H92 vs. SRAM PG950
I’ve generally replaced worn out parts with whatever the bike came with from the factory. Not this time. Both my Masi Alare road bike & CX Comp (cyclocross) bikes came with a SRAM PG950, nine speed cassettes, 11 – 32. Sadly, the first 7 gears on the SRAM cassette are held together with one tiny screw. That tiny screw is notorious for either backing itself out or breaking. Then, you might get a little play or side-to-side wobble between gears making the most horrendous rattle. I’ve had it!This Microshift H92 is held together with two rivets. Yes…it might weigh a gram or two more than the SRAM. But then again, I’m not a “weight weenie”. The gearing is only slightly different. SRAM PG950, 11-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32. Microshift H92, 11-13-15-17-19-21-24-28-32. Gears one through four are virtually identical. Why pay more for a cassette susceptible to failure? When I need a new cassette on the MASI CX Comp, I’ll buy another one of these from Microshift. Thumbs up from this “Old Hippie”.

5 star for now
I bought this because I saw another mechanic below commenting on sturdiness of the cassette, because let's face it, you don't want a weak cassette! It's a driving force of your bike.I bought one for 9 speed mountain bike.Cassette is very shiny nickel plated piece. I had a Shimano cassette prior, a great one, but it developed a rust that I couldn't get rid of.I cannot attest to quality vs Shimano, because Shimano lasted 9 years, and that's hard to beat, but it looks great so far.Align the cog grooves properly on freehub, you will see one groove being extra wide, drop the widest notch on the cog through that wide groove, otherwise you will be stuck thinking it's not fitting your freehub. It does...just align :DCassette metal feels solid and sturdy. If there is anything crazy, I will update this review and change rating.

Have you ever hefted a billiard ball or hockey puck?!? HEAVY!
Both a billiard ball and hockey puck weigh about 160 grams. If you take a standard Shimano cassette AND THEN add the weight of a billiard ball to it, you'll end up with the weight of this; which totals about 375 grams. Consider whether it's worth getting a higher-end component and not have to carry the extra weight of this thing next time you're climbing a long hill. Shifts without any apparent problems.
