It fits my 89 Chevy like it was meant to. I didn't run into any drama.
It's good to get a product that does what it's supposed to. I inspected the internals of the one I was sent and it was not bodged like the one a former reviewer showed. In fact, the flow was really good without any restrictions. It doesn't come with an 02 sensor plug, but the new exhaust manifold I bought did have a plug that I just moved down to the Y pipe since my sensor lives in the manifold.Installation was pretty straightforward. I chopped what was on there off and left a couple of inches for a sleeve. Then I chopped about 4" off of the end of the Walker pipe just to keep my life simple. I wasn't about to try to pull the stub out of the 32 year old catalytic converter. Exhaust clamps, FTW.The pipe installed lickety split and I have no exhaust leaks, so it's a win. My OEM pipe was made of a better metal, but it literally rusted away over 32 years and the captured clamp for the flange disintegrated. To save myself time I just bought this piece as well as two Dorman exhaust manifolds. There was enough drama up at the manifold bolts into the head to make installing the Y-pipe a joy.Long story short, quiet truck, mission accomplished. Now it's beer:thirty.

Y-Pipe for 5.7
I am giving it 4 stars because the flange was damaged during shipping, at least I hope it did not get sent out damged. It had a small bend on the flange which I too and pinged it back right before I nstalled it. It doesn't leak so I got it close enough to perform correctly. Over all it went on easy and did fit correctly and I am satisfied with the product. My only recommendation would be to wrap the business ends of it with bubble wrap to help preven damage in shipping!

Walker y-pipe
Details say that it’s for c models only. It was a direct bolt on for my 1988 K1500 as well. Perfect fitment. Easy to install. Would buy for a different vehicle if needed.

Exhaust Y pipe
I returned this item, there was nothing wrong with it, when my mechanic got my truck on the lift it wasn't the Y pipe it was another part of my exhaust that needed replacing.

Fits 88-98 c/k 1500-3500 w 5.7L
The media could not be loaded. The product was amazing was a day late arriving but definitely fixed my exhaust leak at manifolds doughnut gaskets. Exact fit and has bung hole for O2 sensor already installed. Would recommend for anyone bypassing catalytic converter. Thanks to the provider for make a cost affective product. Check your exhaust size the replacement y pipe has 3” outlet my truck has 2 1/2” exhaust pipe so reducers were required for installing. Suggest buying a flux core welder for Adequate Welds.

It will work if eliminating catalytic converters
Attention people, if your vehicle came originally equipped with a catalytic converter this item will say, or will be told, that it does not fit. The original crossover pipe and the catalytic converter was a one piece unit. In my case I don’t have a converter on my 1995 chevy k1500, however I do have an 02 sensor. This pipe has the bung for the 02 sensor in the correct spot for the year, and is a replacement pipe eliminating the catalytic converter!

REJECT NEW Y PIPES
Pictures show the RESTRICTION (small hole) that's in the junction section of this Y pipe for a 94 C1500 5.7 Chevy pickup. I sent the 1st one back thinking it was a fluke, NOT. This is how both Y pipes were made. I ended up cutting the left crossover pipe off to take photos & remove the restriction & weld back together to get truck on the road.Big name doesnt mean quality!Too bad most auto techs don't even check such things. Ive seen alot of "crap" over the years, This is one of the most recent.Review by Cliff VanEngen (Old fart auto technition since 1968, doin tune up & performance work.)
