writing titles is the hardest part of a review
I love this thing. It has two pockets, and I put my phone in one, for easy access for pictures, and a 3 oz pepper spray (actually more like a mini bear spray) in the other. It's just the right size, big enough for what I want to store in it, and small enough so it's not too bulky. I liked it so much, I bought another one, but it's hard to remember what it's called when I'm searching my orders. A strap pouch, strap pack, I guess that works.Let me compare this to two other products I like a lot, the Freemove waist strap pack and the 4Monster buttpack. The Freemove goes on the waist strap pack. The 4Monster is a regular buttpack, which means it has a waist strap and can be used with or without the backpack, like maybe you want to hike to the top of the hill and leave your backpack at camp, but want to take your phone, wallet and keys with you.The Boosteady goes on the shoulder strap, so it sits up much higher, in case you need to forage a river or something.Weight: Freemove 2.42 oz, 4Monster 2.56 oz, Boosteady 3.65 oz.Size: Freemove 1.1 liters, 4Monster 2.6 liters, Boosteady 0.9 liters.Cost: Freemove $10.95, 4Monster $16.99, Boosteady $11.99.Zippable Pockets: Freemove 1 (with divider), 4Monster 3, Boosteady 2 (1 with divider) plus 1 external pocket. All three are waterproof, except for the zipper, so you may want to store your goods in a ziplock bag.All three will hold your 1) phone and 2) pepper spray or your wallet.I like all three of them a lot, so it depends on whether you want a shoulder strap pouch, a waist strap pouch, or a separate buttpack. If I had to choose only one, I'd go with the buttpack because it can be used without the backpack, but all three are handy.

Will not fit Samsung S22 Ultra with rugged case
My Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a rugged protective case won't zip shut in this case, the phone is too big. You have to have a rugged case on your phone when you're doing outdoor adventure type stuff! So I give it three stars because it doesn't do what it's advertised to do, but still, this is a great pouch so far, seems to be good quality, so I will use it for other things on my hikes, but it's simply too small for my smartphone. Get it as a basic utility pouch but if you have a big phone or an outdoor rugged protective case on your phone, this zip case might be too small.

Perfect phone + pouch
We hiked in the Alps for three weeks. The front zipper pouch easily accommodated our iPhone, and the back zipper pouch was perfect for passport, credit card, and a little cash. Snap strap and velcro strap made it very secure. Zippers have worked easily with one hand, making phone access for photos very easy. No more banging around in my pocket. Should have 6 stars!

Lots of Room & Military Strong
This backpack strap is so useful. It attaches so well to a backpack and belt. If you add the carabiner then you can really hook the small bag anywhere. Even gym equipment has small areas where to hang these bags. I have used the bag at the gym, climbing up a 14k ft mountain, free falling and more, and this little thing still looks new. Super, super sturdy. The Velcro is also really good and strong.iPhone 11 max, air pod pros, 2 airline approved sized bottles, eye solution and inhaler fit in it at the same time with room to spare. Space for your ID and credit cards. This bag is great for backpacking, gym and just simple everyday carry.

5 years going strong
This is one of those items I wonder how I ever did without it. I just decided to get a "backup" and realized my original is 5 years old! Zippers and materials still solid despite countless hikes, backing trips, travel etc. And the price hasn't changed. FYI It does need a horizontal strap to attach to so you can't attach it to a belt loop that runs vertically.Great product, just ordered another one.

BOOSTEADY Backpack Strap Pouch, Smartphone Strap Pack
I bought the Boosteady Backpack Strap Pouch to put my Samsung S20 Ultra 5G in while I hike. The phone is too large for the pouch. Very bummed. However, the pouch looks like it will work well to carry munchies, kleenex, or anything that you may want to get to easily while hiking.

Accessory pockets
Back in the day, you could easily buy accessory pockets for packs. Now it doesn’t seem that the major manufacturers are making them. This product is exactly what I was looking for. I put it on the shoulder strap of a Patagonia backpack. Looks well made and sturdy. Came in a day and was cheap. What’s not to like ?
