This chair is fantastic! I needed an office chair for my home office that met fairly specific criteria: comfortable, no arms, height/tilt adjustable, and most importantly...cheap. This task chair seemed to fit all of my needs. After reading the reviews and comparing other chairs it became clear that this was an incredible deal for only $55! So, I made the purchase and the chair arrived very quickly (within 4 business days).Upon unboxing it was evident that the chair was sturdy and well-padded. Assembly was a breeze - only 8 bolts that required just an allen wrench (all included). I assembled and was using the chair within 15 minutes of it arriving on my doorstep. It doesn't get much easier than that!I haven't used the chair a ton yet, but I have only great things to say about it thus far. It is extremely comfortable, and I would know since I sit in it for 8 hours on average everyday. The height range is perfect as well; I have an older wooden desk that cannot accommodate larger/taller chairs or those with armrests, but I can fit this chair under the desk with ease and still have room to swivel around. The tilt option is also a very nice feature. You can adjust the tilt range as well as lock it so there is no tilt whatsoever.Overall, this is a great task chair that is very comfortable and sturdy. When also taking the price into consideration it is clear that this is a great deal. I highly recommend this chair!

My wife needed a comfortable desk chair without arms and this chair met the needs. Only took about 15 minutes to assemble and was ready to go. It’s very comfortable and easy to move on carpet. I would recommend this chair for the price , ease of assembly and comfort.

There are some questions and reviews about this chair having a tilt function. YES, it absolutely TILTS! But it is typically locked when you receive it from Amazon. To unlock the tilt feature you must pull the height adjustment rod OUT - away from the chair in a horizontal direction. If you push the rod in, it locks the tilt again - but only in the upright position. Anyone who says it does not tilt is doing it wrong or got a defective chair.Moreover, the tilt works on the whole chair, the backrest does NOT tilt independently from the seat (where your butt goes.) You must leave the adjustment rod pulled out (away from the chair) to leave the tilt function unlocked. You cannot lock the tilt in any other position than normal: un-tilted. The tilt has a good amount of spring tension, you have to push back to tilt, but not so hard that you break the chair. To reiterate - the whole chair tilts, NOT just the backrest; and it must be unlocked as described. The tilt adjustment knob is not a tension or force adjustment, it is a limit - how far back it will allow tilt.As to other aspects of the chair, the height adjustment is a bit limited compared to a similar Hon chair I had. That older chair had at least 6 inches of vertical adjustment. This chair has about 4 inches. It is fine for me, but my wife is short and would like this chair more if it could go up higher. There is only a faint bit of "new-car-like" odor when unpacking it. But that smell soon subsides. The padding is fairly good, very comfortable. The fabric upholstery seems sturdy. It is a synthetic material, probably polyester - possibly blended with fabrics like cotton or wool.It's easy to assemble, the instructions are all pictures/drawings. There are only a total of 8 screws to assemble the chair, and a proper size hex key is included. No other tools are required. The casters just 'pop' into the base with a friction fit. All-in-all it took me 10 minutes from the time I opened the box until the chair was assembled and ready to use.

I just received my chair today and I am extremely pleased with it. It arrived 3 days early and was packaged well with no damage whatsoever and no missing hardware or pieces and was very easy to put together. I used my own tools which made the job quicker as the wrench they supply is small and it's hard to torque screws with it. The chair is very attractive and it's super comfortable. I just had back fusion surgery 3 months ago and I needed a good, firm chair and this fits the bill and at such an affordable price! The seat is very firm even though it looks highly padded and cushioned. The back is higher than I expected which is another plus! I love the mesh but have to be careful not to snag things on it. It rolls swiftly so sitting down on it quickly could be a disaster so sitting on it slowly is a good idea on hard floors. My old chair had terrible wheels on only 4 legs instead of 5 that sometimes locked so getting use to an incredibly easy-to-roll chair is going to be a challenge. I am very happy with the quality of this chair, especially for under $50!

I bought this chair to use at my desk where I do a lot of keyboard work. Without armrests I can move up closer and maintain better posture. Now I find I am moving this chair between my two desks and my executive style chair is in the corner.I shopped my local office supply stores, but anything comparable was twice the price. Assembly took less than 10 minutes with clear instructions and one tool required, which was included. Chair has firm but comfortable padding with good back support and well stitched upholstery. Height adjustment is smooth and secure and the chair feels very sturdy. I have purchased other Amazon Basics products and I am always satisfied with the quality.
