Excellent First Purchase Of Cast Iron.
Great offer for three pans of different sizes, amazing value for a first time user of cast iron.Having done tons of research on seasoning, cleaning, temperature use, oils to use and what i can cook in it the pans have worked out very well, look glossy and seasoned after quite a few uses.My method is season even though its pre seasoned, using a little Macadamia oil(high smoke point), wipe everywhere including the outside, bake in oven on high heat, i did a few times as i personally don't like using straight of of box.I also wash with warm water after cooking and remove any food by gentle scrubbing. It's working well and so far the food tasted real and full of flavour, I have finally tasted food like never before, makes a difference cooking on lower heat setting and giving a chance for food flavours to be released. Yes, patience is needed with using and maintaining. It becomes part of the routine after a while. Pans are heavy as cast iron, so its like weight lifting while cooking, its a win win. The extra maintenance is worth it if you think about long term health benefits. I put away microwave and air fryer, no longer needed as enjoying using these. Very Happy!

Good solid cast iron pans.
I use these pans on my BBQ for cooking veg. They are excellent. Simply clean after use, oil and heat before storing in a dry place. I oil them and put them upside down over the dying embers of the BBQ to re cure. Seems to work well.

Good but not what is said
So after a recent visit to the states I decided to move up to cast iron pans. I went with the recommended preseason. Upon receiving the items I showed my American friend my purchase who recommended I season the pan due to it not being seasoned as advertised. So I followed their instructions to clean a season the pan properly and love the pan now. So yeah they are worth it but you need to season yourself.

5 star product
The media could not be loaded. Excellent build quality. They came uncoated so just needed a simple wash and a coat with olive oil or an oil of your choice. Non stick without the harmful Teflon and I cooked a perfect steak and eggs effortlessly. Highly recommend and for the price you can’t go wrong!!

Good but...
Weighty, durable pans but unless you're cooking on gas they take too long to heat up. I have a 1960s Rayburn and an induction hob for emergency and they take forever to heat up on both

Seasoned five times and still it ended up like this!
I've been considering moving over to cast iron for a while and was really looking forward to it. I read a great deal about seasoning and maintenance, even going as far as seasoning these pans five times over a five hour period before first use but honestly if this is what it's like owning cast iron pans give me my regular non stick pans back ASAP.They are, in my humble opinion, an absolute nightmare to maintain.People seem very passionate about cast iron pans "take care of them and they'll take care of you" but why on earth anyone would want to add so much extra work to their lives is beyond me.They are truly a nightmare.Seasoning is a messy long and drawn out process because obviously you need to allow the pans to cool in between coats, and it's isn't cheap running the oven for five hours straight. And as for applying the oil, good look finding a cloth that doesn't leave fibres behind on the pan. I thought kitchen roll would be perfect but it rips and tears into tiny pieces that are a nightmare to get off the pan. I tried four different tea towels/clothes before I found one that was suitable. And then cleaning them is a pain too. I thought it would be simple from what I read. A quick wipe and your done. Well, that works great for pancakes. But it's certainly nothing like that for eggs, as you can see in my pic. This is what happened after I cleaned the fried egg that stuck to my well seasoned pan.Oh and if you ever use water to clean them remember to stick them back in the oven to dry them, or else they'll rust! Lol.What does everyone love these pans for? Is it the inconvenience? Or does the maintenance give some kind of sense of purpose? Maybe there's some secret to maintaining these pans that I'm not aware of.I feel cheated to be honest. I genuinely thought I'd have pans for life here. The large one is great for pancakes I must say, it didn't stick at all. But if a pan can't fry an egg without sticking like this, and then ruining the coating, what's the point?I feel like I'll forever be seasoning them.Nah, not for me. Life's too short thanks.
