Rothco Ranger Vest

This is great. Getting used to finding pockets on the quick. I wear it just about every day once the sun goes down for warmth but I wore it most of the day yesterday when it was warm out and no problems. I was out taking pictures along the beach and had plenty of room for gadgets. Very comfortable. I'm in a wheelchair most of the time but I do walk although not pretty, so I fell down in some pretty sharp cut stone in my yard and I spun to land on my back and it protected me well with zero damage to the vest and much better than my arms did. So many pockets I'm having trouble getting used to location and dedicating certain things to certain pockets. This naturally takes time and the neck and fit is so nice that I haven't tried the hood yet.i ordered an xl but have a little trouble getting it on in the shoulder area but it fits perfect once it's on it's great. I think maybe the arm holes are smaller and that's great once it on. I would recommend this to my friends and you. Great value.

Straight out of the box, my 9 year old wore it and the moment we stepped into a restaurant, everyone was asking him where he got it. A very comfortable, well-made durable vest. I was doubtful of the size, adult medium for a 9-year old husky boy. But I went by the measurements and well, it's the right choice! He loves his vest and wears it while playing his video games, at school and when he goes out. Has his head up high whenever he has it on.

I love this vest! alot of cargo room, I counted a total of 11 pockets counting the 2 on the inside. The 2 breast pockets almost have a divider inside of them to turn those into another set of 2 pockets. Really holds all my stuff and i still have room for whatever else i need. I really don't go anywhere without it now, nice and warm and does just what i wanted it to.I will say that the big pocket on the back will work great once it has some upgraded velcro. It only comes with 1 tiny 1x1 inch square and that won't hold alot of weight if you stuff the pocket full, so be fair warned.I use it for hiking/camping/edc and it works great for all of those purposes.I also shoot photography as a hobby and can hold all of my filters and my 80-200mm telephoto lens in the back, just be fair warned you wont be able to get to it real quickly. You would have to take the vest off to get to your lens in the back pocket, but all in all great vest for the price. May eventually buy one in camo too!

First impressions: This looks pretty sweet!The Pros: Appears to be well made, good seems and zipperThe Cons: They are all pretty short (It seems like no matter what size you get they just made the vest wider, but not actually " bigger " so the medium / Large / XL are all the exact same length which is pretty effing stupid if you ask me. I ended up keeping the large as it fits my waist / chest fairly well but I can't get over the shortness ...Worth the Money / Would I buy this item again?: Yes

Very well fitting vest! Its also not super thick like you would expect from a winter coat type vest. Its cotton based so it breaths well also. Each side allows you to mount eight shotgun shells' in the built-in elastic webbing. It features; three pockets' per side, two zippered pockets deep enough to carry a box of ammo and two surface pockets with flaps. A hood is rolled into the collar and each shoulder has a button down strap to where you could "lace" a rifle or shotgun sling. On the back of the vest is a rather large pouch capable of housing a lighter weight hydration system, or to be even used as a light field pack. The front of the vest is fastened shut, with a rather heavy duty nylon zipper. A great all around vest, I'm very happy with mine!

I am 6 foot tall, about 240 lbs. I wanted a vest I could wear over multiple layers. The 2xl worked perfectly for me. It is sturdier than I expected. It has several pockets to utilize. I have already worn it hunting, and I'm pleased with how it works. Likewise, if I were only wearing a t shirt under it, I would need to go down a size.

Of course, any vest is perfect in the spring weather where it is a bit chilly, but not enough so to warrant wearing a jacket. This particular best fits very well, the zipper is high-quality, pockets aplenty. As a CPA,I utilize the shell holding rings for pens and pencils. The digital camo pattern is very cool. Over all, this is a very nice vest!

This is like a waist coat. It's way too short. Needs to be at least 4 to 6 inches longer. Obviously this is made for short people and not Americans, who are taller.
