Psvane

Psvane is the maker of the highly regarded CV181 (6SN7 replacement) audiofile grade tubes which can be found for $200 to $300 per pair. The UK-6SN7 is being marketed as a mid priced alternative to the generic tubes supplied with many tube amplifiers. The tubes feature a retro looking glass bottle that would complement any amp but would great along side classic tubes like the 2A3 or 300B. While a direct replacement for the 6NS7 they are both taller and wider (they are as tall and slightly wider that the EL34 power tubes in my amp) so they may not work in all amplifiers depending on spacing of the tube sockets or height limitations imposed by the amplifier. The sound quality was excellent out of the box but I only have 10 hours of listening time in so it is too early make a definative statement about this. The tubes were shipped directly from China and were received 9 days after the order was placed. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Big sound improvement over Sylvania 6SN7GTA when used in my ModWright LS100 preamp. They sound liquid smooth, yet very detailed. Highs and lows are more extended. Bass is tighter and sound stage is bigger. Only one down side is quality control. Got a bad tube with loud hiss in the first order. Returned and reorder another pair and second time is all good. Seller was cooperative and offered to replace the bad tube for free. Highly recommended.

Just plugged these in less then 30 minutes back. No burn in at all. Very nice. I used sylvania previously. This sounds more open and warm.Only 4 stars for now. Let’s see how long the tube last and how they sound after burn in.

Can not get rid of the Hum. 200+hours of burn in and still unbearable. Stock tube sounds so much better. Also bought a Tung-Sol 6sn7gtb tube. After 72 hours of burn in, no hum. Sounds great

I found them to be very harsh sounding. Not warm at all. Bought a set of Mallard NOS 6sn7’s. Much warmer and natural sounding.

Great tube for the schiit freya, but you need adapters to make them fit.

PS Vane is a brand I never tried before. In my Tube amp these go in the pre amp stage and gave a new dimension to the overall sound, creating a more vibrant, clear and crisp atmosphere. These are HIFI Series as advertised, they are HIFI in practice, very well built, very very good performance.I recommend them any day, and surely I will buy them again.

OK, I read the first review and was scared to buy, I went ahead after reading other reviews I took the chance, once they were in place I turned the system on silent, not a hiss or crackle. oh boy, my ears were happy they sound amazing made the whole soundstage sound even bigger than before. best decision I made.
