18 Cube Vintage Kitchen Ice Cube Tray

I tried to use plastic ones and they would not freeze water So I brought these and they work magic

These arent like the ones from the 60's. My grandmother had these and they worked great. I was still young, about 7-8 when My family went to G'mas for holiday meals like Thanksgiving, Christmas & easter, She had the aluminum ice cube trays that looked like these. She never had a problem extracting the cubes, never had to run under waterfirst. The release handle on G'mas was tougher & worked right. The handle on these are weak & thin. It works for what I need it for which to make ice however, I realized the handle is not strong enough if you’re not careful, it will get bent or break. My advice if you decide to purchase this item when you are about to remove the ice from the tray, it is best that you put it under some room temperature water in the sink in order for it to be a little bit more easier and hopefully not to break the handle so that the ice could release a little easier . Other than that it Service purpose.

Always had to deal with the "new & improved" plastic ice cube trays after repeated freezing & making ice cubes would become more prone to cracking, breaking, after twisting 7 pounding to release ice cubes!Remembered the "old fashioned" metal trays with a helpful release lever, from the "old" days as working time after time. More reliable, and more durable.

Cheap piece of junk. The handle that cracks the ice up broke in less than 2 months.

Hey all......Matthew from Santa Paula, CA. these old-school ice trays are simply great. I have had the plastic ones for years. And learned that it took twice as long for ice to happen. So, I remembered that I grew up with these Aluminum trays, so I took a chance and I do appreciate them all over again. Besides it's been years since I upgraded back to Aluminum trays and very pleased that I did. So I do suggest you give them a try, you won't be disappointed. At times old school can be better than new school Thanks Amazon.

It broke 2 days after using it I went to pull the lever and it just came apart
