I installed this to replace an old one that's been in place for a really long time. Perfect fit and I hope to get several years out of this one as well. Will update rating if it fails prematurely, but so far it performs as expected.

If it would satisfy you, you's be easy to please!
An absolute JOKE! Absolutely no instructions. All provided is a 1.75 in. X 1 in. X 22.75 in. metal housing with a small light tube on top. If a purchaser ever discovers how to open the housing he will find a pack of 3 orange wirenuts stuck to the housing. That is all! The wiring inside the housing has three small wires with some sort of plug on the end, a kind that I as an electrician have never seen before. Also, by looking carefully, there is a printed paper stuck inside the housing on which there is a note informing installers to visit a certain website for installation instructions. I visited that site and found nothing about instructions. With regrets, I will be sending this junk back to Amazon. My advice to all potential purchasers is to look elsewhere.

My home is a little over 20 years old and the closetes have 24-inch single tube florescent lights. I bought these to replace them. I love the amount of light and bought more to complete the replacements. But a wire nut fell off the when folding the wires into the body of first unit. While installing the second unit two wire nuts fell off. I'm quite sure they are the wrong size wire nuts (orange) for my 12 AWG house wires. I switched to using bigger wire nuts (yellow) before completing the install of the second unit. I plan to replace the wire nuts in the first unit - they aren't secure! If most of your circuit breakers are 20 AMP breakers your house will use 12AWG wiring and these orange wire nuts will be dangerous. One other thing was a surprise: the mounting hole spacing is greater than 16-inches, standard stud spacing in the US.

Easy to install
Easy to install. Light output is great. Worth the extra money. Lithonia makes a good product. I used these to replace fluorescent fixtures in small closets and the lighting difference is amazing.

Great light, good value, easy to mount.
I purchased two of these lights...They were for a kitchen. Nice and bright, great value. One I placed over the sink, hidden so unit does not show. Perfect for locations like this. You need to provide your own cable clamp to secure the romex entering the fixture. FYI: there are knock-outs at either end and in the middle. Nice! Note there is a driver inside the fixture and so many wires: pink, purple, reds, very very busy in/out of the driver. NOTE you have look for the Black /White wires are curled up one end. :0 Note the plastic tubing over the light strip can be removed-snaps on/off easily. In case like me your end caps fell off and into the tube itself. Not too hard to get out if remove the curved covers. Be careful the light strip can pull loose. Those end caps are not very secure but work fine. I would buy this again.
