The book displays some very nice design websites.
There are some very amazing layout designs to view and maybe use in your own design. This book helps me a lot when I'm stuck on a design.

Key Tool in Any Designers Toolbox
I am a CIS Major (Software Design track) so I take a lot of programming and web design courses. This semester I did my first HTML class and had a final project to design a website either for ourself our a "made up client" I forget how I found this book but it is filled with amazing ideas for websites of all types. This helped me come up with the design for my online portfolio (ill edit this once i'm completely finished with it with the link) but I will definitely keep using this for future designs as well as picking up the other books in this series. I highly recommend

Extensive, but..
The current trend about skeuomorphic versus flat design was completely overlooked, and both concepts are never mentioned. It somewhat makes sense, however, because it's noticeable that some or most examples were selected some time ago already, and this tend is fairly recent. (The Fitbit example features deprecated models, which is an example of how I could tell some designs are already getting old)Besides that, the examples are certainly extensive, but the omission of flat designs was quite a disappointment, as I'm a huge fan of their simplicity.

Great for stimulating the creative juices.
This book is great for stimulating the creative juices. It contains thousands of example sites. However I was hoping for more interaction with the ideas and concepts by the author. What is it about that page that works and what doesn't? When does that concept work and when should it be avoided?

Another great volume!
This is my third purchase in this series, and they keep getting better. What's really neat now is that I have all three on the shelf and it's like a time warp into the past... so much of web design has changed. It provides very unique perspective - almost a chronicle of design over time. I hope they keep making new volumes. Will be amazing in ~10 years to look back. Also, I hope they keep the same size/format so they look good on the shelf. :)

This book was worth the wait!
As a Graphic and Website Designer I wanted a quick resource to flip through for inspiration. I thought I would only glean a few ideas but as I flipped through each page my mind began to swim with ideas...before I knew it, I had created an art board with at least 20 new color ways and dozens of flagged websites to visit. This book has proven itself invaluable, especially in the dawn of the responsive website design era. I can't wait to create my own unique designs from the inspiration this book provided.

terrible Kindle book. appears badly on iPad
The printed book may be great, but iPad is terrible. Even thumbnail images are pixelated and enlarge to blurred, unusable images. We buy it for the sample images and this book is unusable in this format.

Mind = Blown
I bought this book as inspiration for the visual design aspect of web design. This book hardly talks about code at all, which is great because there are already a myriad of books, and free websites, from which you can learn code. This book is about showing as many creative examples of web design as possible, from elaborate to minimal, to inspire you to create a unique design. This is more like and art book than a technical one, which again is why I love it.
