Q: Will this work for the iphone Mogee app?

I actually tried it out with one of these and it works great on the iPhone 12 if you put it in the right spot near the speaker. However, if you put it in the wrong spot it picks up the signals from the antenna and sounds crazy.

Q: I need a "mic" that "hears" electromagnetic audio signals from a hearing loop. If I plug it into an amp/speaker in a looped area, will that work?

Probably yes, depends on the strength of the signal. Originally this unit was designed for older telephones, that have a magnetic headset that would transmit the signal to the unit. The new ceramic headsets would not work. Joe

This unit works from magnetic induction. Your ear piece must be magnetic. It works with the older telephones. It may not work with the new phones. Depends on the type of earpiece.

Q: on playback, I did not pick up last few minutes of my side of the conversation. What is the cause?

Did your caller hang up as you were speaking. That could have caused the cut-off.
